I've been researching my families for over 30 years. Currently, I'm trying to scan & share a large collection of old family photographs and documents that have come to me from various relatives, mostly my late grandmother.|
As I scan & prepare the photographs, I'm trying to post as many as possible to findagrave for others to enjoy. Especially the very old ones. Some that are labeled are not of known family connections so I'm also researching the names in an attempt to identify them.
One that I am very proud of is Jesse Elton McEwen, buried at Palms Woodland Cemetery, Miami-Dade Co FL. It took a fair amount of research to figure out that he is probably not related, but simply a neighbor of an ancestor in Carroll Co GA. I've created a memorial for him with the information I collected. Please visit his site and show him some love.
Another memorial that I'm very proud of is for my ancestor, William Francis Marion Nobles, who died as a prisoner of war at Camp Douglas IL. His final resting place is Oak Woods Cemetery, Chicago, Cook Co IL. Please visit him also.
I hope you enjoy visiting my paternal great grandfather, Hilborn Whit Hulsey. My maternal grandfather, Rev Virgil Sizemore, preached his funeral before there was a family connection. My parents were only 10 years old and I don't think they met until a few years later. If you know any of the people mentioned that aren't linked, please let me know.
If you appreciate the storytellers, you will enjoy visiting the page of my distant cousin, James Walter Estes, one of the best! My favorite from him concerns the 1887 funeral of another distant cousin, John Jacob Bauknight. It became known locally as the Tanners Church stampede.
The pallbearers & escorts for my Hulsey cousin-in-law, William C Sanders, is essentially a Who's Who in the reconstruction of Atlanta and were instrumental in making it the great city it is today. Scroll down his obituary from the Atlanta Constitution and click their links. Many of them have bios.
Surnames I'm connected to include: Adair, Ashworth, Barnett, Beam, Black, Burks, Cates, Clore, Crow, Dickson, Dunson, Estes, Gilbert, Hendrix, Hulsey, Leathers, Lowe, Lyle, McBrayer, McGlathery, Meadors, Mobley, Mote/Motte, Nobles, Pate, Parr, Pinson, Reid, Sanders, Simonton, Sizemore, Stanford, Steele, Stephens, Tomme, Vining, Waldrop, Williams, and others.
Places I'm particularly connected to include: Laurens Co SC, Henry & Clayton Co GA, Carroll & Haralson Co GA, and Blount & Cullman Co AL.

|Sandy Lyle||Alta Estes Needham|
Hi Debbie, Thanks for the information you sent concerning Alta's husbands and children. I added it to the bio section on Alta's memorial. Sandy
|David Devine||Alvin Herring bio|
I'm sorry it took me a while but I have made the changes to Calvin's memorial. I personally thank him and your family for his sacrifice.
|Diona Dickerson||Berry Land|
It was easier to add the photo for Berry Land, I did not know if it was a clear shot or not and turns out it was on of the better ones I took from Mt. Carmel. Thank goodness! I have some rough ones.

|Maggie E||Family links forJoseph Dempsey|
Hi, You sent me a edit link for his parents: Clyde and Naomi.
In her name, "Dempsey" is shown as her maiden name. Seems kinda odd if she were ever married to Clyde Dempsey that it would be her maiden name too. Even if she was married to Leathers at the time of her death, Dempsey should not be in the maiden name area if it something else.
If you didn't make the memorial for Naomi, you need to get that corrected by sending that person an edit if that is not correct.
Sorry, can't add it til I know.

I saw you left flowers through here for my grandpa. I was wondering if you are kin or just a friend. thanks
|Maureen McDermott-Marella||RE: Catherine Barnett # 6120959|
Not sure if I let you know but I made the edit. Thank you
|Forgotten Stones Hunter||re: Hulda Hicks/Reid|
I have added Edna Morris' bio to her memorial. Even though you show some evidence that her mothers maiden name was Reid her birth certificate shows Hicks. So I can not change her parents names in the bio until I can investigate it further.
I will make the necessary changes as I find them andlet yoy know.
The info quoted as the source of your info is unreliable because the MemID given #47292192
is a memorial for "Bud Morgan" not a contributor.
|Jerry Reid||Possible error|
My name is Jerry Reid, I have been researching the Reid family for over 30 years. The info I have on James Lawrence Pritchard memorial # 109772086. The Alabama death records give his name as Joseph Lawrence Pritchard. Also Joseph Clarence Pritchard memorial #109772183 I have I have as James Clarence Pritchard. I do not believe his name was Joseph, that would mean that they had two children with the name Joseph. If you have further info on them please let me know.

Thank you for the information on how to add bio if I am not the creator or manager. I am still learning procedures.
