Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been retiring for three years from Adult Education, after teaching for 28 plus years. I plan on doing my favorite pass time, genealogy and taking photos of tombstones and posting them on line. I have personally inventoried about every cemetery in Bledsoe County. I have photo of all the tombstone in about every cemetery. My goal is to finish all the cemeteries this year.

I am married to my husband Clarence for 49+ years. We have two children and six grandchildren and four great-grandson.
I have be researching on all of my family lines for over 50 years. If it had not been for this resource I never would have found one of my great-great grandmother if it had not been for this site. This site is one of the best in the world for helping others.

Abraham D. Jones
Hi Brenda,
My name is John Abbott. I have been working on researching my mother's side of the family. My grandmother was Viola Cora Kelley. Her parents were John Kelley and Etta G. Jones. I have not yet found leads on John, but Etta Jones's parents are listed in Family Search as Abraham David Jones and Sereptia Ellen (Arbuckle) Jones. When I looked at the memorial at Fine-a-Grave for Abraham Jones and Seeptia it showed that they had two children: Mary L. Jones 1873-1874 and Etna L. Jones 1887-1888.

In Family Search for Etta G. Jones it shows she and Ida Jones 1971-1928 were daughters of Abraham and Sereptia.

I am a little confused. Is there some mistakes or what. I would appreciate any help.

Thank You

Hi Mrs. Brenda Burgess
First off I would like to thank you for all your hard work to Find A Grave.
I would like my Great-Grandfather Fred Gossett memorial # 62323492 transferred to me and my Great-Grandmother Nancy Ann Gossett memorial # 62323656 transferred to me. Again thank you for all you do.

Minor point. Fred was born and died in Evensville, not Old Washington. His wife died in Evensville. She was born in an area which some would say was OW, some would say Evensville. I knew them both...and many of their family members. Even though Fred's birth certificate states a Dayton address, he actually lived in what was considered Evensville, with a Dayton mailing address.

Hi Brenda,
I think it is amazing that you gather information on all the cemeteries in Bledsoe County. I am trying to find out where my 2nd great-grandparents are buried. Martin Henry Roberts, born 1891 in Milo and Mary Ethel Mathis, born 1899 in Pikeville. I know that Martin died in 1956 in Elyria, OH, but I do not know when Ethel died. My grandfather told me they were buried in TN, but he doesn't know where. I was hoping you could tell me if you have seen their names in your research.

Thank you

Josie Alice Burgess
Hello, Josie is my great aunt through marriage to John Riley Frazier. She was born Sept. 20, 1887 in Cumberland, Tennessee and died May 24, 1933. i am trying to locate where she is buried so I can create a memorial and link her to my family. By chance do you have any data on her. She was so young when she passed.

Thank You, Dianne Caves Carman

Hghes Cemetery
Is the Hughes Cemetery the cemetery just off of East Valley Road near the Stephen Chapel Methodist Church and on the opposite side of East Valley Road? I was at one in that area in 1985 and it was on private property and very overgrown. We had to walk quite a distance behind the barn to get to it. I did not know the name of the cemetery at the time. I will appreciate your help. Than you. Betty
