I have spent many years researching different branches of my family. I think Find a Grave is a great resource and I like to help.

I visit the cemetery and take pictures for all the memorials that I create. I try to take good photos with a good camera -not a cell phone- but it is not always possible because of the conditions, etc., to get a great picture.

If you get a better picture than mine, don't hesitate to let me know and I will remove my picture. I prefer to have only the best photo of a tombstone on the site in order to allow space for family to add family photos if they wish.

If a memorial I have added is part of your family, I will be happy to transfer.

Hello: inquiring as to whether you would transfer management for Myrtle Hardaway Simms? This is a great aunt of mine if that helps in the decision.

RE: Lucille Black
James, I think that the two cemeteries should be merged. City Hall in La Grange is who has a record of who is buried in each of the cemeteries and their computer print out shows the cemetery to be La Grange City East.

RE: Getter family
WOW, this was not expected. Thank you so very very much James. It is nice that someone has the true spirit of Find A Grave. I don't do this to collect memorials either. I will finish them and then if anyone asks for them, send them on. No telling what someone else can do for them too.

James, I hope you will do me a favor. I would like to to add a couple of generations on Phaedra's family. She came from a very long line back to 1678 in this country. She had 3 Grandrathers in the Rev War:
Leonard Schnepp 1753
Johan Heinrich Gebhart 1745
Andreas M. Straub 1735

I was in hopes that you were related to them. Anyway, this should be a start in anyone looking

Her parents were Arthur Roe Getter 1864 and Bertha E. Chamberlain.

I do appreciate this

Black cemeteries in La Grange

Can you help me out? I noticed you took a picture of the LaGrange City Black Cemetery for Find A Grave. Is this the cemetery that's on Eblin Street. I found that location on

I see there's also the Old La Grange Black Cemetery on Find A Grave so I have no idea where to add this person because their death certificate just says burial in La Grange.

You added a picture to the above memorial. IT does not seem to be related. Would you please review it and remove it if you determine it is on the wrong memorial. If it is on the correct one, please send me an explanation.
