Retired from corporate life but still own a small disc jockey company. Now enjoy riding my Harley, traveling and working on my family Genealogy which includes BRITTON & JAMIESON descendants. I live in the Venice, Florida, area (Sarasota & Charlotte Counties) and am willing to visit the cemeteries and take photos for you. |
I am currently completing photos of all the grave sites at Jesse Knight Memorial Garden in Nokomis, FL, and Lemon Bay Historical Cemetery in Englewood, FL, and matching them with their names. Any of these memorials (relatives) you want transferred to you please ask and I will be happy to do so.

Thank You for following the rules. Most of the time when I come across a duplicate and tell someone about it they do nothing or want to argue about it.....

You are very welcome.
I stopped in Lerwick while on a cruise. I found a number of Jamiesons and will continue to transfer the ones I found. If you approve.

|Jennifer Dickinson||RE: Britton Genealogy - Pawling Farm|
Do you have the history of the farm and is it still in the family (or still in existence at all?) I'm planning a trip back out to Pawling during which I hope to locate and visit places that were a part of our ancestors lives. The family farm and Hiram's tavern (circa 1883 I know he still owned it) are at the top of my list. According to a newspaper article, the tavern was on West Mountain. Do you happen to know where in town that would be? Haven't found it on any maps yet. Thank You Richard! I really do appreciate all you're sharing.
|Jennifer Dickinson||Re: Britton Family|
Thank you, Richard. I received the pdf, taking my time reading through it. It's been helpful but I have updated information that you can add - regarding Cora Belle Britton in particular. She was actually born in March 1901, but her death certificate and birth record differ on the date (I have copies of both). Birth record says March 11 while death certificate says March 3 as dob. I'll send pics of them to your email. She died April 21, 1981. I hope this information also helps anyone else following this tree.

I wanted to add... what record do you have listing Newton's residence as New Milford in 1790? I've also been working on this hoping to connect him to Caleb but so far only found a 1790 census record with a Newton Britton in Milford (New Haven County) instead of New Milford (Litchfield County). Think this is same person? The record I found shows no wife, either. Does yours? I look forward to comparing notes! - Jennifer Dickinson

Greetings! I also descend from the Dutchess County, NY Brittons. Caleb Britton is my 5th great grandfather. I'm ultimately Irving Britton's 2nd great granddaughter, descending from his daughter Cora of whom married Frank James Bahr and eventually settled in the Danbury area. Where do you fit in the tree? I would enjoy sharing information. Since I began my research years ago, my 2nd great grandmother Daisy (maiden name Brazee) and her family have eluded me. Anything you may have on them would be greatly appreciated :-)
My email is firstname.lastname@example.org. I currently live in Bristol, CT and recently made my first research trip (of many I expect) out to Pawling, NY.

Thanks, for your note, Richard. Let me know if you hear of any others I can add to the DC alums/faculty virtual cemeteries -- or you can just add them. Barb
