Bio Photo Use the edit tab directly on the memorial for all requests (including transfers and document support for all changes/additions). The 'suggest other' can also be used for obituary additions!

I check ALL requests since 'pure excitement' is blinding. Please don't take it personally if a request is denied - I probably couldn't find supporting documentation on my own. If you disagree, resubmit with links or other methods I can verify or contact via email. After initial contact, use the email shown for all disagreements/documents or via the edit tab on the memorial.

Family trees are not documents nor are county sketches or histories; they are great hints. Please do NOT submit family trees, sketches, or excepts from county/city/regional histories without other documents.

Hi MN,

Wow! You move pretty fast! I've not received the obit and such from McLeod Historical, so standby for that data. I assume I'll have that in a week or so.

Yes, I'd like the pictures. I'll send you an email address separately.

You are totally awesome for doing this!

Zietlows and Polzins at Immanuel Luthern Cem.
Thank you so much for the gravestone photos of my family. I really had thought that none of them would be left, so it was a wonderful surprise to see them pop up on my email. I would be happy to maintain the memorial page for Anna Zietlow Polzin. I am one of the few left that even know anything about her. Her maiden name was actually Sommerdorf. She married Bernhard Zietlow 1st, then Robert Polzin after Bernhard's death. Happy hunting and thanks for a glimpse into my family. Best wishes, Julie Armstrong Narr

RE: Anna Friauf
I guess I am really at a loss here. You have the proof of who married whom in the census reports which are also government documents. The one who was born in MN married George and the one who was from Bohemia married August. You also have proof that the one who married August was the daughter of Katerina and John from the 1880 census, and the death records that show her mother's maiden name. Also government records. So not looking at the book at all, which has stories submited by actual relatives, you have proof that Anna Benz born and died 1876-1968 was a Marvan and the daughter to Katerina (Kortenek) and John and the sister to Mary frank Josepha and John based on the 1880 census. If you don't want to link her family, that's fine, but I don't see why you won't update her maiden name as you can see for yourself it was Marvan. Thank you for your time on this.

RE: New Headstone Mystery!
Just so you know, I spoke to City Hall as they apparently maintain one set of grave records. I have an inquiry in to the Lutheran church secretary so as to cover the other part of the cemetery.

I'll start hunting for the movement permit and see where this takes me.

Appreciate your insights!

New Headstone Mystery!
Hi MN,

Further to: Katherine "Kate" Esther (Wannemaker) Newcomb is the daughter of Find A Grave Memorial# 68387985 ...

I spoke with the Rosedale cemetery in Los Angeles today. They confirm Katherine was buried out there, but only briefly. She was buried 01 Feb 1927, but was removed 21 Sep 1927, and was to be sent to Brownton, MN.

Now the fun begins! Where is she?

In our earlier exchange you opined it was unlikely she would be with her husband and kids (see FindAGrave: 109019603).

Welcome your thoughts!

Chris

Wannamaker
Hi MN,

I see a Jennie Leota Wannemaker (1885-1976) married to William Benoy. She is buried in IL, however. So I'm not quite sure I am synchronizing correctly.

Katherine "Kate" Esther Wannemaker is the daughter of Find A Grave Memorial# 68387985 ...

And then I realized, I might have that data because I have her death certificate. It's very hard to read (looks like a black and white negative) but I think I see:
"Rosedale Vault" with a burial date of 01 Feb 1927.

So, let's see where that lead goes!

Cheers,
Chris
