|Nan Hlavaz||Nancy Sophia Settlemire|
Very interessted in Nancy. Wonder why she is buried as Settlemire even though she was married to Charles Schenck.
Also the baby, boy/girl? Or do you know?
Just to keep my recordsstraight, thanks

Please notice the edits that I just sent . Thank you for posting this memorial. This information I am sending you is on his grave stone, but I have the source for proving the edit is correct if needed. Sincerely, thank you !

You are correct. She was cremated at the time of her death and the ashes were given to her friend.

I ran across an article regarding this Johnson family. Communication was not too good back then. They had reported Ora as also being dead.
How heart retching to read of such tragedies. The following is part of the article.Tacoma Daily News July 9.1889
Mr. Johnson had not wanted to live in this sinful world, nor did he want to leave without his family. He first gave them strychnine, but could not bear the sight of their agonies, so he killed them with a revolver. He had left a note.
|Tracy Turner||Fred Swanson|
There is no visible headstone for Mr. Swanson. We located the site and probed to ensure it was not covered.
Claude "Ole" A. Millard is buried in Melrose Cemetery, Jackson County, WI. Hope he's the right Millard. A photo is also attached to his memorial.
|Sharon Ostrow||George W Payne|
Looks like he and Mary Collins (Black) did indeed have three children, at least according to research on ancestry.com.
Any thoughts? If that is so then the info needs to be corrected on his page.

My pleasure. Twas quite the adventure...my shoes are still wet!
Hello I submitted a photo of Annetta Burdg for you. I was just wanting to let you know that the tombstone says her date of birth is March 1, 1846. I did include the inscription that is on the stone with the photo.

|Nathan Haines||Lincoln Memorial Cemetery photo request|
You requested a pic of John Groetjen's grave in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. I claimed the request. After I claimed the request I then saw that you only listed what section John is buried in and not what plot in that section. I thought about just cancelling the claim since that section is a really big section and I did not think I may ever find the grave by walking through that section for a very long time. I went by there today anyway and thought I would kind of scan my way through there to see if I might get lucky. I'll be darned if I did not park my car within a few feet of the grave and walked only a few feet and there was the grave!! I am not usually that lucky!! I thought maybe I better run to the store and buy a lottery ticket but I did not want to press my luck. :-] The gravestone is behind a big bush. It looks like it won't be in the sun until very late in the afternoon. The gravestone is kind of overgrown and real dirty and needs to be cleaned up. I will be going back up there in a few days or maybe not until this coming weekend and will go later in the day to try and get a good pic. I took a couple pics of a "before" type pic and will get the "after" pics later. I could email you the "before" pics if you are interested. He is buried by some chick named Verna. :-] Next to Verna is someone named Catherine Goshorn 1851-1935. Are they related or maybe they are just buried by there and not related.
