My name is Cherilyn, 38yo, mother, midwest transplant from San Diego, CA. I have been taught since a young age, the importance of history and documentation. Having been blessed with two aunts who have documented both my maternal and paternal trees to the 1600s, I have chosen to use my itch to help others.|
Have been a professional photographer by trade.
Volunteer in the Kansas Room of the Independence Public Library, where we research and document all historical and geneological aspects of Montgomery County, Kansas.
Believe in hope chests, hand-me-down quilts and photos.... take them often, store them digitally, write on the back! :)
Current projects... Trying my best to fulfill requests in Neodesha and surrounding. Recently finished writing a book on the Montgomery County Poor Farm.
Old Projects.... recently comfortable with continuing progress on Gragg/Boorigie lines, documenting the Harrisonville Cemetery and working on getting the owners of the land where a cemetery is, to allow me to clean it up, fence and sign.
Geneologist, writer, photographer and mom. Feel free to email. Love questions and requests.

Thank you so much for the picture of Aunt Jo's grave. We've not been able to get down there in a while and to have the photo is great. She was my husbands great aunt.

Thank you for the addition of this memorial and that of her sister Helen Fenton. I will tell you that the Addie and John that you mention in the Miami Co. cemetery are father and daughter and not the siblings of Maggie and Helen. Is there
any way for you to forward or send the attached clippings you posted on the memorial? I cannot enlarge to a readable size unfortunately on the site.

Thanks for the information

Nothing in particular. I had seen you were doing some research about the area. I know they lived there for a number of years and their children were born there. Have not been able to locate them on Find A Grave either. I think the 2 children would have been buried in the Montgomery county as well. If you have not seen anything no worries.
I was wondering if you had run across any information on a Tharp family that would of lived in Cherryvale Montgomery Kansas in the early 1900's. I know that they lost two children under 4yrs in 1904. William Henry And Jennetta Rose Tharp.
