Grandson of Werner R and Hilda D [Carlson] Uhlin and Joseph Edmund and Edith Marie [Gaudet] Gallant. Great grandson of Josephine Marie [Landry] Gaudet-Cormier 1865-1965, born in Quimper, Bretagne-France; and Carl Gustaf Olsson Carlson and Erika Matilda [Raberg] Carlson of Tumbo, Sweden and Karis, Raasepori Municipality, Uusimaa, Finland respectively. Great grandson of Andre and Anna [Melanson] Gallant of Barachois, Beaubassin East, Westmorland, New Brunswick, Canada.
Kenneth is a direct descendant of Michel Haché aka dit Gallant, and Marie Anne Cormier [through his grandfather and great grandfather Andre Gallant] who were the original settlers at Port-LaJoye on Île Saint-Jean, Port-LaJoye was founded in 1720 on Île Saint-Jean, now Prince Edward Island. Settlement in the area began with the arrival of an expedition sent by the Comte de Saint-Pierre, who settled West of the Harbour entrance to the site named Port-LaJoye.
