I love Find A Grave! I'm proud to be a member. This site is great for helping people find lost loved ones, whether they are close relatives, ancestors or friends.

I will transfer, upon request, any memorial I don't have a connection with (which include most of the ones I've posted). Just ask me.
I hope that someone will eventually claim these memorials and add info & photos to them.

I don't think it matters whether you were related or if you were a friend, when you ask to have a memorial transferred to you it means you care enough to maintain that memorial. The history of individual graves are really only important to family members or friends who live on.

The memorials are an even richer source of information when families/friends add their stories. Memorials can be created by strangers, but they can't be personalized by strangers. If I am maintaining the memorial of your loved one or ancestor & you want it transferred to you, please just give me your ID#. I will click the button to make it happen--it's that easy.

Contributors should remember that they will always receive the credit for creating a memorial even though they transfer it. So, come on people--DO THE RIGHT THING!
