My sister Ann and I started searching for our ancestors in 1978 before all the automation took place. We enjoyed visiting the court houses and cemeteries where our relatives live. Got back into genealogy in 2012 to document what we found and get new information. We are descendants of Samuel Watson Reid (1831-1902) g-grandfather of the Steele Creek area of Charlotte and Manley's of Carnesville, GA.|

You're quite welcome! It took me a little time to figure out if it was the right marker, as it's sunken into the ground a bit. And thank you for your note.

|Gayla||David Rea - Steele Creek Presby.|
I visited Steele Creek Presby. Church Cemetery in Charlotte, NC, today.
I saw an earlier photo request for a David Rea b.1741 d. 1784 and buried in plot: 7IE.
I looked at the available church listings as saw that there was one David Rea buried there but his death is clearly readable as being 1834.His marker also states he died in his 42nd year of life which would have him being born in 1792.
Finally, this David Rea is not buried at the listed plot: 7IE but instead is buried in plot: EH7

Hello Barbara, I was looking at the Bethel United Methodist Church cemetery On Find A Grave an saw Sophia Clutts that you have recorded there is also another recorded Sophia Little Kluttz same dates as yours and a stone picture in which I cant make out to see if the last name was Clutts or Kluttz although I believe it is the same member of my Kluttz family ive been working on correcting the spelling of the entire Klotz/Kluttz/Klutz/Clutts/Cluts/Clutz family. seems the spelling has changed some what depending on were you go and who wrote it down I guess but one thing is a fact we are all from the same tap root. Seems the name Klotz started in Germany to Burke County Penn. as Klotz to Rowan County NC as Kluttz then spread to Illinois and Tenn. as Clutts. It may be true that Sophia was buried as Clutts if the stone shows that and the other recorder added her as Kluttz both are correct as I have researched but for the record I would like to record it correctly on my entire Kluttz family tree. If you can get intouch with the other poster to maybe add Clutts if the stone shows that that may clear up the duplicate recordings.
