|I have been interested in family history since 1978 and have enjoyed doing family research since that time. I love this website and have been adding memorials for our family. I hope, if you view any of my memorials you will contact me so I can share what ever information I might have. Some of my family memorials I have listed, not knowing the cemetery, in hopes someone who sees them may be able to tell me. I also have been adding memeorials for my daughter's in-laws family and some from the local cemeteries. So either way, I can possibly tell you something about a number of my memorials. I welcome your questions, comments, corrections etc. I have met some really nice and helpfull people through Find A Grave. It is my most sincere desire to help someone add new data to their research so plese feel free to contact me.|

I am sorry but I have no memory of this obituary, and can not locate said entry! LOL..
In any event I do have a direct ancestor to the Nickell's family out of Greenbriar Co. West Virginia and Floyd/Morgan Co. Kentucky.....
I am sure you know that the term inst. is seen many times in the newspapers of the nineteenth century. I think because people were late getting to read them, and I would say the following is an apt description as I could come up with.
"inst.", abbreviation for instante mense, meaning a date of the current month, such as "the 5th inst."

The side markers had Father & Mother carved on the top of the arch. There was no other information.

I hope you do not mind my submitting edits directly on You Find A Grave Memorial# 107004816 for Lucille Pierce Patterson. I have added to your Photos a copy of her original birth certificate. Her full birth name was listed as Mary Lucile Pierce. I realize her middle name is spelled different on her birth certificate; however often that is the case when someone other than the mother or father fills in the blanks. I believe the "two l's" are correct. I will probably make a few more edits in the future; however if this is a problem for you, please let me know. My telephone number is (803) 772-2162 in Columbia, South Carolina and you can find all other info on me at my Contributor's page. My Find A Grave Contributor number is #48482030. Howard (Kip) Carter
Thank you so much for the photo on Nancy Sutphin. Keep up the great work. Much appreciated!!

I would be pleased if you would go to my Bio and visit my parents' memorials by clicking on their links.
|Joyce Wilson Harsson||George CATHEY #37299356|
Thank you for George Cathey's memorial. I have been searching for records linking him to his father, Alexander. There is no find a grave memorial for Alexander, a Revolutionary Patriot.
Maybe this is a long shot, but I thought I would ask if you have any furter info. George's widow is buried here in my hometown, Jackson, TN. Mary B. (Watson) Cathey #26311774.
George is my 3rd great grandfather.

Thank you so much for the great memorial photo and the inscription written on her stone. God Bless.

just saw this . He lived in Charlotte and Key West. His partner was not into genealogy so I doubt a memorial was posted.
I can as ask him for the details and post one.
