I have research going on with several different family trees. I have lived in Omaruru, Namibia, Africa since 1993 and don't get back to the States very often but I have found this sight a great way to keep up with my research and to add people to the web sight.My late husband and I had a small computer company here in Omaruru. I have been doing research for over 20 years. Some of my families are Sniders, Arants, Gantt, Gaddis, Bass, Lancaster, Farmer, Sewell, Brocks, Funderburk. My husband's are McFadden, Davis, Carter, Nelson, Byrd, Haynes, Bradford. My first husband's family is Yocom. I am also a member of the Baha'i Faith and there are a gooup of us that are adding early Baha'is and friends to the memorial.|

Your very welcome.
|Kevin Finch||Mr. Tebyani|
I'm sorry to say that his grave is unmarked. He is buried next to his wife "Pari". (see Memorial #143459835).
I posted a picture of her site and his unmarked grave on his site.

I think you're the first person I've ever written to in Africa! :-)
Based on information I found online about the Rhenish missionaries in Namibia and also on the Wikipedia page for Okahandja (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Okahandja), I created memorial pages for Samuel Maharero and several others in the Rhine Mission Church Cemetery, Okahandja, Otjozondjupa, Namibia. (http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&CRid=2631000)
Today while double-checking the memorials for typos, etc., I came across your memorial for Samuel Maherero (http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=Maharero&GSiman=1&GRid=150256537&)
I will delete mine, since it duplicates yours, but may I pick your brain? According to the Okahandja Wikipedia page, Samuel and some of his family members are buried in Okahandja, and there is a photo of their stone. Since you live in the area, do you know whether the Rhine Mission Church Cemetery actually still exists? Is it the same cemetery as the Heroes' Acre at Windhoek? I've read that Okahandja is near but not in Windhoek. My concern is whether or not I need to transfer my three other memorials in the Rhine Mission Church Cemetery to the Heroes' Acre Cemetery, if, as implied, they were all buried with Samuel Maharero. Perhaps the Rhine Mission Church Cemetery needs to be deleted altogether? Or, if it is the same cemetery as Heroes' Acre, the name could be added to the Heroes' Acre site for indexing purposes.
Your advice would be helpful and more than welcome!

on Memorial # 54782137, Jesse Davis Weston-- his Parents name are "out-of-order". Excecting the Father to be first and the Mother next-- Paul Harriette Tarver is the Mother. Also, please add a "Jr" to the Memorial's Name, as he was name after his Father.
I am working on the family in behalf of a client. You can verify sources with his record at FamilySearch Family Tree # LR48-9PC.
Thanks for you monumental assistance in this work,

Good morning....I'm not sure which John and Bill you're referring to though, if you could send me their memorial# I'll look if I have information on their mother Catherine...I'm sure we're cousins somewhere, have a wonderful day....
|Christine Bumby Allen||Thomas P. Brock|
Thanks for the info. on Thomas' father's name. I have changed it from John Harmel Brock to John Hamel Brock. Hopefully this will help me knock down my "brick wall" and find more kinfolk now that I have the right name!!! :)

Glad you liked the pictures - and I've happily transferred them over to your care. I did a bit of searching around, but had no luck -- but I have an idea or two of where to look for some clues. Stay tuned -- hopefully I'll have some info for you by this time next week on what happened -- now I'm curious! My best, Cor.
