I am ever searching for my ancestors. Both our families are 12 generation Americans, some 13! Most German, Dutch and Native American. Surnames: Bechtel, Bechdel, Keffer, Keefer, DeHaas, Van Houten, Rohrbach ,Strouss, Houser, Lozier, Losier, Le Sueur Begraft, Slot. I have always been seeking their old headstones and cemeteries so I started "collecting" photos years ago. Now, I finally have a place to help people find those long lost graves. I am earnestly trying to photograph the numerous very old graves scattered about my area of Central Pennsylvania. Many a brave pioneer family headstone will be lost to ravages of time. I've been known to commit various acts of genealogy kindness. Willing to headstone hunt in Union, Snyder, Northumberland, Lycoming and parts of Centre Counties. Contact me with any ?s, corrections or requests. Presently trying to start getting all the churches to transcribe their records for better availability as well as historical document preservation techniques. Help is needed. If you see my name on a cemetery photo, then it is accessible to me and I may have more information, feel free to ask. IF I HAVE ENTERED OR PHOTOGRAPHED YOUR ANCESTORS, PLEASE write me, I can give you "ownership" of their memorial here! Follow the guidelines and I need the memorial # and your member number.

Hello. I am trying to straighten out the Reichenbach and Heintzelman families in PA. It seems that there are multiple memorials, some times in multiple places. Would you please merge 76849766 with 94340400? They are the same person. Thank You! Ken

French Jacob's Mill Marker Photo
Hi Leanne!

I was wondering if you would be willing to add the Jacob's mill marker that is posted to James Chambers memorial #9471565 to my 5th great grandfather's memorial George Etzweiler #48850032? He was killed in the same raid as James Chambers.

Thanks so much!

Best Regards
Shannon B

Jacob Becker grave in Sunbury
Hi Leanne,
I was wondering if you could tell me where you got some of the information about Jacob Becker that is on his find a grave page.? I am trying to find one of my ancestors and I think he is a grandson of Jacob, but I have not been able to find information about him before he moved to Brookville, Indiana. His name is Joseph Baker and he married Ellen Howe. I believe he is the son of John and Sophia Webber. If you wouldn't mind, could you tell me where I might find more information on any of these people? Thanks, so much. Rene Troscher

Hi Leanne ,
I am writing about the Find a Grave post on Mary Margaret Marshall Snyder. She is my great great grandmother . I have Benin using the photo of her grave stone in Ancestry. Com and have realized I should have asked you for permission. I am very sorry . May I belatedly ask your permission to use it ? I have given you credit for the photo.
I also have recently sent you an e mail regarding a post you made on an ancestry message board about the Snyder's of Pennsylvania. I am pretty sure we are cousins and would love to communicate with you .

Hello! I was wondering if I could use your photo of the gravestone for Johann Dietrich Struble & Elizabeth Pfort, my 7th great grandparents. I always credit with the name of the person who took it and their Find a Grave number.

Hannah Hartman
I am an amateur historian and folklorist from Central Penna. and I am writing to ask for permission to use your picture of Hannah Hartman's tombstone in the Keister Cemetery, Hartley Twsp. Union Co., Pa.
I am currently compiling a book about the past 246 "Women of Weikert". Of course, photo credit will be given.

While a picture of each woman would be ideal (but impossible), I am happy to at least be able to use her tombstone picture to validate her existence. If you care for more details please contact me at My thanks in advance

Lewisburg Cemetery - Jane Nancy (McCall) Brady
Many thanks for getting the picture onto Find A Grave of Jane's stone. It's a shame that it's unreadable. Still, I love to see them.

I wonder if you'd allow me to use the picture in my family research, with credit of course?

I mess up and requested a link for parents under wrong parent. I put in her grandparents link (George Sr) and Mary Schooley. It should be George JR & Mary Meek. The problem is I cant find their cemetery records. If you have any info, I would be forever grateful. PLEASE Delete my request to link parents of: 16464544 & 118766711 for Mary Foresman Coates mem# 81961137. May I please use photos you provided for this family?
