Hello from the middle of nowhere, Texas.|
I first started using this site to research my family tree a couple years ago. Then I decided to sign up and actually help contribute. I've always liked going to the cemetery and looking at all the headstones. Some are so creative! I especially like the "Woodmen of the World" stones. I love doing volunteer photos in my area. It's kinda like a treasure hunt to see if you can actually find them.
Currently I am trying to work on my husband's family tree. He is from Mississippi so I can't just go look. So if anyone comes accross any Willards or Franklins in the Yazoo City area, please let me know. I am spcifically looking for Willie Franklin who died about 1965 and his wife Candance Bell Weaver Franklin. She was also married to an Overby at one time and she also died in the sixties.
***Please Note*** If you are requesting transfer or update to any memorial, PLEASE use the "Suggest A Correction" tab on the memorial. Please do not leave the information as a message as it makes it very difficult to do the update.

Sherry, can you tell me a little more about your husband's Franklin's? My GG Grandfather is Hugh Samuel "Sam" Franklin and his father, born in KY, is Thomas D. Franklin. Grandpa, who signed his name "H. Samuel Franklin" ended up in Texas from Mississippi, but not Yazoo County. His info is in my memorials. I have lots of Franklin relatives, so we should at least compare some names and check I think out! Nancy

Sherry, you have memorials for Pearl and Vernon Earl McClain that I was looking for. They were like family to us. That's how I came to read your profile page and that you're looking for Franklin's in Yazoo, MS.
I'm related to Franklin's (GG Grandparents), but they weren't in MS. Then you caught my attention because I have BUNCHES of family in Yazoo. I found who you're looking for:

That's the memorial for Willie Franklin and he's linked to "Cannie" who is Candace. I hope this helps you.
I'm wondering if you're related to Mr and Mrs McClain as I would dearly love to manage their memorials and get their big family all connected. They're a big part of my special childhood memories. Thanks. Happy Trails, Nancy

I sent you as edit several days ago and the reason that I am posting this is NOT to bug you. I am finding that sometime we need to see proof.

Thank you for posting a picture of my twin sister's head stone (Andrews County Cemetery, Andrews, Texas). It has been years since I was in Andrews and the last time I looked for her grave and could not find it.

|Kay Kiefner||Sarah "Sally" Howell Kiker|
Birth date of 1862 cannot be correct. She was married in 1819 in Mecklenburg County, NC, and had a child by 1821. I think a birth date of 1802 is probably correct.

She is my 3rd cousin 2x removed. May I use her gravestone photo in my Family Tree? I will gladly give you credit. Thank you! Terry

I am sorry I didn't leave more info on Sarah Ann. She is buried in the Gholson Cemetery in McLennan County, TX and her Memorial # is 40874857.
|Peg Herriage||Sarah Ann Howell Kiker|
Sherry, could you possible check Sarah Ann's birthdate for accuracy. Her Findagrave memorial shows that all her children were born before she was. Just updating my Howell family and saw this.
Thanks so much. I do appreciate all your work.
