Bio Photo I'm not quite sure how I got started with adding photos to Find A Grave. I do it at my leisure and enjoying placing photos that are legible and hope that people are delighted when they find information on family members.

Photo is of my pal Joey who enjoys romping in cemeteries with me.

Correction to my message for Nina Jensen
Here's a correction to the message I just posted for you:

"years since her recent death"
should read
"years prior to her death"

Requested spelling change on my Mom's posting
Hi Barb,
So an interesting thing happened. Ten years ago or so, my mom paid in advance to have her gravestone done (all but the final date, of course), and I helped her make that happen. However, in the intervening years since her recent death, I discovered that, based on legal documents that began surfacing, she had misspelled her middle name. (She requested "Mae," but the legal spelling is "May.) When I discovered the discrepancy, I asked her about it, and she said "I liked the way 'Mae' looks!" So my dilemma now that she is gone is whether or not to use her legal name on Find-a-Grave while the spelling she liked remains on the gravestone.

Thanks for the heads up about the duplicate. I agree that the hyphenated entry for the surname was likely the reason it was missed by me and by the photographer of the marker. I transferred mine to the creator of the hyphenated memorial because the family links to her parents are in place. More importantly, her children are linked to mine. Also because of the marker photo on mine. Hopefully, she will opt to delete hers and manage mine instead. However, she may transfer mine back and then I will have to delete it, marker photo, links and all. I hope not. Thanks for taking the time to let me know. Jan

The transfer is done. Thank you! The person at OGS I talked with about this lady was Linda VanOrden, who does a lot of work in Junction City. That was a few years ago. Good luck! Glad you found her daughter.

Hello, Barb, A friend took me to the Danish Cemetery as she stopped to visit her parents' graves, and she pointed out the marker for Eugenia. I looked for information on her at OGS but found nothing. I made the memorial for her in hopes someone with information would contact me. Since you are on the board of the Danish Cemetery, I would gladly transfer this memorial to you; I am on the board of the Eugene Pioneer Cemetery, and manage a great number of memorials here, with the same hopes. Hopefully someone someday will come forward. It does happen once in a while!
Sincerely, Dorothy Brandner, EPCA
