I started manually working on my genealogy around 1990 scraping together pieces of paper that my mother had written tidbits on, then talking to my great-aunt, aunts and uncles to get more info. Once I was able to electronically compile my genealogy it felt like starting over but my tree has branched enormously since then. I have walked a few cemeteries dragging my husband along who has graciously help hunt for tombstones. I have been interested in cemeteries since my youth. The age of modern technology has help tremendously in having instant photos. I am now retired and spend tons of time cleaning up my tree. I get a little obsessed wanting it to be as accurate as possible. We have 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild...our house is full on special gatherings. I truly appreciate everyone who is involved in genealogy and thank you in advance for all that you have to offer.|

Hi Martha - Thanks for allowing me to use the photo. I appreciate.

Thanks for sharing, I had wondered for sometime.

May I have your permission to use the photo you took of my cousin's headstone in my family tree? I really appreciate the hard work you have done for me and others like me who cannot. These photos, which I use in the Death and Burial section of my relative's profile page (not the profile photo) add a lot to otherwise barren pages of forms and statistics.
Thank you so much,
Carol Barber Hudson

Does anyone know where Goshen cemetery is located...or at least a general area? I recently found out that Hilliard and Mary (Snider) Sellers are my 3x great grandparents and are buried in Goshen.
Funny thing is I lived in Tuscaloosa for 10 years and had no ideas I had ancestors born, raised and buried there. So wish I'd known.
Thanks for any info.

If you can call Calvary Cemetery (323)261-3106 for the grave location I will get the photo for you! Do not email because they will not reply. I would call for you but Since I am probably the only regular active volunteer there I have made many many calls to them for locations and they are very annoyed with me.

|Pat Millican||RE: Myrtle Hill Cemetery|
I got the info from the following book:
"Myrtle Hill Cemetery, Obituaries and Interments, Annotated Genealogical Abstracts" by Shirley Foster Kinney.
Her information was derived from newspaper obituaries and the cemetery interment books from the cemetery office.

I was searching my Grandmother's information you have listed here. The tomb stone shows one date of death and the date listed in the information area is different. Also per Daddy's (James Allen Chandler) birth certificate, she was 42 years old when he was born (4/12/38). This would put her born in 1893 rather than 1891. I know the tomb stone says 1891, but it appears to be a new tomb stone not one from the 40s. This might be a misprint if the tomb stone was not made at the time of burial, but I am not sure. Thank you again for your assistance.
Hi, I sent a correction request to you about James jones & John C. Jones. Could you please not change it after all, my mom said it was right. Thanks....kit
