I became involved in my search in 2009. My husband had been out of work for awhile and I was looking for a 'creative yet inexpensive' Christmas present for his parents. In two short months, I found more info than I had ever dreamed of! I was bitten by the bug and have been addicted ever since! Robert C Johnston Jr introduced me to Find A Grave and it has helped me so much in my research of my family tree. I am truly enjoying finding out where I came from and meeting distant cousins I never knew existed!|

I'm sorry but I have no one in my tree by the name of George Washington Brown. I do have a Samuel Brown, he is a grandfather to me.

Could you help me with some info on William Wesley Smith? I noticed you have some info about him on Find A Grave. Is this the William Smith that lived in Chambers Co., Alabama. If so, do you have proof of the name of his wife? Some say Poston but there is another family from St. Francois, MO. that are claiming this family. Thank so much for your help

I'm no relation to the Browns.

I'm not sure of any relationship - but I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out. I somehow think that all of the (older) graves at Mt. Zion Cemetery were part of the same community - and therefore were closely connected.
I inventoried the hill part of the cemetery were most of the older graves are located and I drew up a plot plan and made an index. You are welcome to them both if they would be of any use to you.
Also, if you would prefer that I transfer the maintenance of Sarah Jane Mooney to you, please let me know.
