Those we love don't go away, They walk beside us every day, Unseen, unheard, but always near, Still loved, still missed and very dear.

Dear Ancestor:

Your tombstone stands among the rest;
In this field of green.
The name and date are chiseled out
For all the world to see.

It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I'd exist,
You died long before I was born.

Yet we are of one, you and I,
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.

Dear Ancestor, the life you lived
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.

I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

PER FINDAGRAVE:
If a duplicate is created on the site for the same individual, the memorial page that was created in the correct cemetery first is the memorial page stays. We have a way to know where a memorial page was created and if and when it was transferred to another cemetery. Creating memorial pages as burial unknowns, moving to the correct cemetery after the memorial in the correct cemetery and then telling the contributor that was their first that they are second and to remove theirs is called Backdating and is not acceptable on the site. If Backdating a memorial is brought to our attention, then that memorial page will be removed from the site.

I have reasonable evidence that his mother was Susannah Jenkins Jesters.

1841 Meriwether Co GA marriage of Susannah Jesters to Henderson Burdeshaw.

1850 Census of Meriwether Co GA
Hudson Burdyshaw M 35 South Carolina
Susan Burdyshaw F 39 North Carolina
G A Burdyshaw F 7 Georgia
M J Burdyshaw F 5 Georgia
M C Burdyshaw F 2 Georgia
Newton Jesters M 16 Georgia
Sarah J Davis F 11 Georgia

1860 Randolph Co AL
Hudson J Burdshaw M 45 SC
Susan Burdshaw F 48 NC
Mary J Burdshaw F 15 GA
Martha C Burdshaw F 13 GA
Thomas F Burdshaw M 6 GA

Daughter Gemima (GA) m John T. Davis and is next to them. She later m. James Lawrence South. Her DC in GA says her mother is Susan Jenkins.

1870 is when Elizabeth Busby is with them. This could be Susan's mother who had remarried but truthfully no relationship is given. Could be an aunt. But if she was Susan's mother, Gemima's family should know if Susan's name was Jenkins or Busby, Gemima and James are next door again.

Buford Blackwelder was my grandfather. My mother, Emylie Palmer Blackwelder Foster was his oldest child by his first wife, Sara Elizabeth Palmer. He also had a daughter Anne Elizabeth Blackwelder Honea Brown via his marriage to Sara. You will find Emylie's grave at Find A Grave Memorial# 38993073. Her sister Anne who passed in 2007 is buried beside her. It would be nice if you could add them to his memorial. Thank you.

I wanted to find out if you are a relative or cemetery keeper. I see that you have already added Billy Ray & Carolyn Massey from March. They are my great aunt & uncle. I am Roy Massey's granddaughter.
