Bio and Links
Bio Photo I appreciate all the hard work volunteers add to findagrave by maintaining memorials and adding photographs from cemeteries. I maintain several family trees on ancestry. My tree is The Warner Lone Star Family Tree. My father's family is clustered around Gonzales, Texas and my mother's around Abilene, Texas. My tree features Texas historical figures. "I hear ethereal whispers, persuasive, soft and still. Daughter, if you don't remember us, who will?" Irish saying, author unknown.

RE: Thomas Gardner
I tried sending a request for his gravestone picture but i got this response.

We can not proceed because of the reason(s) listed below. Please press the back button in your browser, correct the problem(s) and try again.

There is an existing photo request for this memorial. Memorials can only have one photo request attached to them...

but when i look at my list of other request his name is not on the list. how do i fix that?

from what i read it said his Gravesite is

An old burial ground, called Gardner Hill, was situated a little west of Harmony Grove. When the area of Boston Street and Grove was developed in the 1840s, one hundred fifty graves were moved from Gardner Hill to the Harmony Grove cemetery, including that of Thomas Gardner (1592-1674) who came to the area, from Cape Ann, with Roger Conant in 1626.

RE: Correction request
Taken care of. I think it was some silly mistake that caused that link. I don't recall ever seeing the memorial for Johnny Horton at any time.

Portrait of Felix Magee
Is it ok if I copied it and added it to my tree? Let me know if not and I will take it off.

Claiborne Sullivan Magee
Hi Betty - Was very interested to see the portrait of Felix W.(assume Winston) Magee --- he is the brother to my Claiborne Sullivan Magee 1830 - 1863 who was living in East Texas when he joined the Conf - Texas 13th Calvary and did not return from the Civil War. I see there are many Claiborn Sullivan Magees in Texas but they are descended from Felix W. Magee and Martha Long Magee who came to live near brother in law Bluford Magee near Dewville/Union Hill area of Gonzales county. Are these your relatives? If so we are cousins! My Great Grandfather is Samuel Winston Magee (Son of C.S. Magee & Mary Jane McCullar who were living in East Texas during Civil War) and Sarah Elizabeth Davis Magee --- they are both buried at Rancho Cemetery about a mile or so out of Nixon, Texas.
