Bio and Links
Bio Photo Many of my memorials were created from church or cemetery records, sometimes data was missing. I am getting many "edits" from contributors adding the missing info, thank you.

Please let me know of errors and omissions on my memorials and I will correct them promptly. You can use any of my grave photos. I have taken thousands of photos at Johnsburg, Holy Cross, St Joseph, and St Cloud here in the Holyland of southeastern Wisconsin and uploaded them to the memorials. I usually have one photo per memorial, if you want a more detailed photo of a headstone let me know and I will do that for you.

All of my memorials have been added the hard way, one at a time. I check this website daily for edits and process them promptly.

RE: David Boehnlein
Hi Dan,
I submitted edits to link David to Alfred and Lorraine. I also submitted the birth and death location edits that are listed in the obituary. Thanks, Dan.

Hi Dan,
Thanks so much. I was very confused. My parents' sides are intersecting again!
Based on what you said, I submitted edits to link Alfred to his parents, Nicholas and Barbara.
There are two memorials for David,13884223, and 139328897. The second one is managed by you. Each has some info for David which the other doesn't have. Whichever one is kept should be linked to Alfred and Lorraine.

RE: Welcome
Wow! You're a wealth of information! I looked at the before and after photos of the cross on your 2X great-grandmother Cecilia's memorial. Looks like you spray-painted the metal silver then added the stainless steel plate. Looks great! There are lots of Cecilia's in my family tree and I worked at Kohler Co. for several years so we have a few things in common! Before I proceed, I have a couple more questions. First, I did more research and found info. online indicating that Mathias Joseph Schmitz's parents should also be buried at Johnsburg. Theodore Schmitz died in 1866 and Anna Gertrude Schmitz died in 1868 (or possibly 1848). I can't find either in the St. John the Baptist cemetery or in any Fond du Lac County cemetery. I did find a Gertrude Schmitz who died in 1867 and is buried at St. John's (memorial #61995383) with no other info. Her stone looks new - not 150 years old - so maybe it was recently added and they couldn't make out the info. on the original? Maybe that grave is really for Anna Gertrude and Theodore? Second, before I do anything to the cross on the grave of Mathias, do I need to get permission from anyone at the church? Who has legal rights after so many years? I'm a descendent but there probably are many of us. Thanks for any more help you can provide!

RE: Welcome
Thanks for my first message and my first memorial! I emailed RJ Korbach about the other Mathias Joseph Schmitz memorial and will let you know what I hear from him. I already shared the good news about finding where Mathias is buried with my aunt and will also let my cousin know as he and his wife went with my aunt and me on an ancestry cemetery tour last Saturday. We went to 7 cemeteries to visit graves of 32 relatives. I hope we can visit the grave of Mathias in the near future. Since there are no markings on his metal cross, I want to see if we can add some identification to his grave. Let me know if you have any ideas about that. Thanks again for all your help!

I noticed that there is information about John joining the 27th Michigan during the civil war. I am wondering how this information was obtained? is there a obit? trying to follow up on why he was in Michigan. thanks for any additional information.

Re: Leo C.
The obit was my source. Guess I should delete it, unless you know the correct cemetery ? Thans

No worries. I contribute to general confusion myself, unfortunately.
