I have lived in Southern California nearly all my life and am a retired high school librarian. I have always enjoyed visiting old cemeteries. My family is originally from Ohio and my husband's family came from Minnesota. I became interested in Find-A-Grave a couple of years ago when to my surprise I found my grandmother's name. Once I discovered how easy it was to navigate through the website I was hooked. Many of the gravestones that I have posted are either my relatives or my husband's. This is a great way to memorialize someone and gives us amateur genealogists a way to create a record. I hope to continue adding names and perhaps my postings will help someone find the name of one of their ancestors posted here. |
I am interested in the surnames Hauske, Chase, Cursons, and McMillen.

Thanks for your reply. Have transferred 18 memorials to your care from Saint Lukes Cemetery - I think I got them all. Hope you can link them up and enhance their memorials pages. If any were transferred in error, please transfer back to me - AlongTheWay - (not to the INACTIVE contributor who originally added the memorial). Let me know if there might be any others I can transfer. Thanks!
Thanks for edits, which I've approved. Please let me know if I may transfer Memorial# 14650493 to your care, as well as memorials for her husband and parents?
Hi. I have transferred the memorial to you.
|High Plains||Ester Nelson #127521692|
You sent an edit to link her to her parents. The parents currently listed were also an edit as I only placed on the memorial what was shown on the grave marker.
|R. Wright||Zitta J Ward, # 44425233|
Thank you for the updates. If interested in maintaining, feel free to send a SAC transfer request. Regards, Richard
|Margaret||RE: Ellen DeMar Lewis|
Thank you for locating the burial for Ellen.
I contacted the member with her memorial in order for him to copy the links so that I could delete my memorial.
This DeMar family does not relate to mine, but my late uncle had a letter from one of their family members that contained what I have posted to this site, in hopes to help others.
Ellen's first husband had some problems and she spent time moving around to avoid him, hence the alias for her 2nd husband. The lady that wrote to my uncle had spent many years searching for
her brother from the marriage to Walter Miller.
Your help is appreciated.

FYI - The gravestone photo for Arthur Nyberg (1924-2008) is incorrect. It is one for Kenneth J. Nyberg, who may be Arthur's son (I'm still researching this). Thanks for all your work on Find-A-Grave.
We did not add the photo on this memorial you need to contact the person who did put it in, their name is under the photo.

Thanks again. I wonder what her first name was in Norway. Thank goodness she had a nickname, :)

|Margaret||Mattie Windedahl Houske DeMar|
After sending a SAC regarding Mattie DeMar, I see that there is a biography and death certificate on memorial 71426397 for Mattie's son that has the correct maiden name.
The format still should be the same with the information about her marriage/marriages added to the biography. It appears that she married twice if the son's memorial info. is correct.
Thanks for understanding.
