Find A Grave 789162, I have been researching the children of my 3x Great-Grandfather Daniel Morford who married Catherine Vandruff. On everything I have found about Daniel's children it includes Charlotte. On the memorial you created it shows her father as William G. Morford. Can you tell me where you found that information? If Charlotte is not Daniel's daughter I will correct my records. Thank you.

I am from Wm.'s brother Charles JR. born in captivity in Ft. Detroit.
On June 27 Monday 2016...the city of Ft.Wayne..and the IN. state Archivist..etc. John Corridan is holding a ceremony for the recently found grave in BROADWAY CEM...ON BROADWAY STREET..in Ft. Wayne, Now a Park...for the tomb of
I will be in attendance....my question since I have done little research on Wm. because I am not descended from him...is how did his wife come to be buried in Nebraska??
Christiana Polk ( Wm. 's Sister ) who married the Missionary to the Indians...Isaac McCoy.....Is also buried out west...far from places she lived as a child.
Please help me solve this mystery...The oldest Polk from Capt. Charles and Delilah Tyler Polke..via...the Child born in captivity...is age 77..living in North Port, FL ..a retired IU graduate and Pastor and editor and Author. No Children. His Brother is JAMES R. POLK a Pulitizer Prize winner for Journalism during the Nixon Years....recently retired from CNN..Marietta, GA
I am a retired educator...nearest to Bardstown and Vincennes...where the Polk's were before..Wm. left Vincenes, Knox Co., IN ...where Capt. Polk of the Rev. is buried...near present day Oaktown, IN on the Old Lower Freelandville, IN rd. between the hamlets of Oaktown and Freelandville.
I wonder if you are related to any Missouri Moss's?
My maternal grandmother came from a large extended Moss family in Missouri and Indiana.
If interested I will share other info, if not, have a very nice day. Thank you.

Dear Ruth I am a very active Genealogist FindAGrave member and Cemetery preservationist. I restored a cemetery in Shabbona Iiilinois where I live. One of the persons buried in the cemetery is William Marks and I am gathering information on him and his family. Iíve done pretty well with this but William had a son Fayette who was born in New York in 1816 and lived in Shabbona in 1880 but all of a sudden he is in Fremont Nebraska and from piecing together info from here and there he dies on 12 Dec 1890 and is buried in an unmarked grave in the Ridge Cemetery there ! What I need help with is : 1. Is this true ( he is not on the FindAGrave list for the cemetery ) 2. Is his wife buried there ? 3. He is listed as a Civil War vet why does he not have a stone and the list I saw has no unit listed ? 4. ANYTHING else you can shed on this !
5. Is there a sexton or place where the records are held for the cemetery ?
Thanks for all you do ! Jim Stewart
Would like to have permission to use any stories, pictues, etc that you enter on any of the memorials from my family. Thank You
