We had a successful disinterment and reinterment of Jacob Youtcy in Kelvin/Kearny, Arizona. Over 300 people attended the funeral. Horses, caisson, Civil War re-enactors, Catholic priest in period vestments, the train honked as it went past the cemetery and two military planes flew over the parade and waggled their wings at Jacob as we went through town. Over 100 of his descendants and their families attended as well. God gave us a fantastically humbling day.

A Standers Affirmation

I made mistakes. Horrible ones. And poor choices. And was selfish and arrogant and lazy at times. I thought I was giving everything to my wife and marriage and children, but now I see so many places I could have done better, done more, made better choices, used kinder words.

I am still in love with my wife. I said "for better or for worse" and meant it. I said "in good times and in bad" and meant it. And I said "until death do us part" and I meant it. I still mean those things.

I will not speak angry words to my wife or about my wife. I will not use the children as pawns. I will not return slights with slights. I will speak love and goodness to her, about her.

So I am "standing" for our marriage. What that really means is I'm kneeling in prayer for our marriage. I will trust in God's faithfulness and His ability to do ANYTHING, including change hearts and reroute divorce. I was wrong in so many ways. Please forgive me, Barbara. I love you.

I have the correct Thomas Vallery that needs linked to Ellen Vallery #40498372. Thomas is buried at St. Stephens Cemetery in Niles. Ohio Trumbull County and is memorial #161353522. I put an edit in for it and am waiting for you to okay it so I can link the rest of their kids to them. I don't want to add them until it has the correct Thomas Vallery. Thank you!

Jacob Hochstetler
Hello, I am wondering if you can make some corrections on the page for Jacob Hochstetler.

1. Spouses:
Anna Berkey Hochstetler should be labeled m2. We don't know the name of his first wife who died in the massacre in 1757.

2. Move Jacob Hochstetler (____ - 1757) to children section from the spouse category.

3. Add John Hochstetler (ca 1730 - 1805) as another son (reference AAMG, p 143)

4. Finally, we know from deed Book R, page 118-122, Lancaster County Archives, that Jacob died before 17 Feb 1776, because on this day, his heirs sold his farm near Annville, PA. His burial site is unknown.

Thank you so much. If you would like to sign the maintenance of this page over to me, then I will be glad to make these updates. I am 6xgreat grandson of Jacob, through my mother, Thelma Hostetler.

Kindest regards,

Carl Garber

Schillinger/Post Family
Thank you for creating the memorials for our grandparents, great grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. I will share what I have documented and will do my best to space out the edits so as not to take too much of your time. I appreciate your work and have shared it with our children and grandchildren in South Carolina.
