I am Ronald Becker son of Robert and Josephine (Kline) Becker.|
I Live in Kendallville Indiana. I sometime travel in the NE Indiana area for my work. This allows me the time to explore the cemetery that I see in my travels.
I love to take photos of the stones and I find pleasure in the peace of the cemeteries.
Find a Grave is a great site; many members have helped me in my quest for information. More is need to be done to preserve the broken and downed headstones that are in most of the older cemetery.
If I have a memorial that you would like to have just ask me I will transfer most memorials, however the memorials of family and friends I do wish to keep.

Ron, we have corresponded before, but just to pass on info: I have been researching our Becker ancestry for over 25 years, but I have finally broken through major brick walls. From LDS films of German church books, I have compiled a huge amount of information on our Becker families, going back to 1659 when the records were first recorded. I am in the process of writing a book to document my findings. Your Becker family settled primarily from Mogandorf, while mine were mostly in Selters. Those small villages were just 2-3 miles apart. Even so, all Dekalb and Noble Co. Beckers came from the same few Beckers who were present in the area from the 1650's, but 3-4 generations back in the German records. I would caution anyone using Ancestry.com Public Trees to NOT rely on those entries as they are just loaded with errors and undocumented research. Once completed, I will be releasing more details and copies of German documents. Finally, we will have that elusive information!

Hi! William and Isabel are my ancestors, through Dad's grandmother Rosa Gross Bassett.
I have birth and death dates for Isabel of 1 Oct 1848 (Noble Co. IN) and 4 April 1928 (Lagrange Co. IN).
I added a portrait photo that came from a photo album my grandmother compiled, that passed through my uncle to my cousins, who let me do some scans. :-)

Ronald Becker, Thank you for creating this memorial. This is my Father. The middle initial should be I for Ivan.
If you would be so kind, I would appreciate it if you could transfer to me as There is a lot of updating to do .
My dad was a family history "NUT" ! He passed it on to me. If you are interested my. Fathers great great grandfather was named Isaac Hamblin Sr. His obit was published nation wide in 1859 because he was a prisoner of Tecumseh and General Proctor during the war of 1812 . He was a witness of the death of Tecumseh. It is a fascinating story!

I must say that I am shocked if what I believe is really true...
I was thinking about a friend I had while in the U.S. Air Force 50 years ago, Lee Parker. He was in my barracks on McConnell Air Force Base back in 1966. My room was next to his on the lower bay of our barracks that I believe was barracks 326.
I started thinking about the guys I served with way back then just today. One of my friends was Lee Parker. If I am talking about the same Lee Parker that I just found is buried in the Mount Pleasant Lutheran Cemetery...well, again, I am just totally shocked. The Lee I knew always had a guitar and played regularly in his room with another friend of ours. He always talked about his father owning a music store. He was quite good on the guitar. He and his friend called me into Lee's room one day and asked me to listen to something off his tape recorder. They asked me who I thought it was playing in the music. I told them whom I thought it to be and was surprsied when they said it was them, that they had recorded it there in the room. It was really good.
One last thing as I try to find if is the Lee Parker I knew...The Lee I knew had a bright red 1963 Chevy convertible. It was a fine looking ride, too. One day While Lee drove us around (me and another friend, Richard Allen "Smitty" Smith) Lee stopped at Base ops for a sandwich and left us in his car. When Lee went in, Smitty climbed into the driver's seat and staarted "dry shifting" the gear shift. It got hung up and when Lee came out to leave found that Smitty had caused a problem and he had trouble getting it to shift correctly. He had it back in working order in a short period of time and we went on about our day.
But, I am dumbfounded when I see a Lee Parker has passed in 2010 that I belive could be the Lee I knew all those years ago. I am saddened by this and I'm hoping you'll tell me that I am wrong, that this is not the Lee I knew that has passed. The Lee I knew was a nice and kind person. You wanted to be like him, to better than you were.
