Approved your edit for Charles Pierson. I am a distant cousin to Charles. Are you related? If so, I will gladly transfer his memorials to you.

Cherry Valley Cemetery, Cherry Valley Township, Michigan.
Sorry to bring this up, since you just volunteer and are doing something nice to help people out.
But, Dolph and Mary and not Skornok family members. I am the next of kin for Francisca Czerniak, and Wladyslaw and Anna Skornok. I have verified with the cemetery authorities and my genealogy records that Dolph and Mary are somebody else's relatives. Their stone just happens to be next to my relatives graves. For all i know, they're still alive. I don't know them and probably never will, They just aren't my relatives.
Thank you for caring about the graves in they cemetery.

Thank you, you have filled in another piece of the puzzle for me. Lydia was my Uncle's first wife. I had visited with her daughter once with my cousin. She lived on the NW corner of the state. Cannot recall her name but she was a very nice woman. She was related only through marriage of Oscar to my Aunt Leha Nikander/Nicander. Arthur H Nicander
Hi Ron. Sorry it wasn't a good picture. Maybe someone will fix the fallen stones in the cemetery . Have a good day!
|Norman Dagen||Lapham family|
hello again - I spoke with the sextant of Maple Grove and as I said before, there are no headstones for any of the Lapham family. That said, there are two other Laphams buried at Maple Grove that did not have a memorial created. One was James H who died in 1906 at 1 month 4 days. The other was Mr. Lapham Sr, died in Frankfort, Michigan in 1970. I did post a photograph of the plot at the cemetery, although, sadly it is empty. There are also two more Laphams buried near by at Rose Hill Cemetery, any one you might be looking for?
|Norman Dagen||RE: Lapham requests|
hi Ron - well, I searched the cemetery today for the Lapham family and as I suspected, there are none, visually. However, that doesn't mean they aren't there. Once I returned home, I looked at the memorials and discovered they once lived in Benzie County, which is a clue. It is possible they are buried in the potter's field at Maple Grove. There are many people buried there because at the turn of the 20th century, a person could be interred at Maple Grove for $10, the cheapest anywhere in Northern Michigan. Also, the Traverse City Hospital buried patients here for the same reason, and without a memorial stone. I have left a message at the home of the sextant and asked about the Laphams. I will let you know what she's has to say.

|Norman Dagen||Lapham requests|
Ron - I am intending upon fulfilling your photograph requests in Northern Michigan but if I accept them in the system, they might expire before all the snow is gone. I'll get to them when I can. By the way, I didn't look at the memorials but is it positive the name is LAPHAM and not LaNham? There are many Lanhams in this area, but LAPHAM is a new one.
