Thank you so much for taking all these photos for us that can't get to these places. It means so much.
Ernest was my partner's 2nd cousin twice removed - not the closest of relatives but still in his family tree. Having photos like you take is the only tangible thing. Thanks again,

I noticed you left a note on the above named memorial saying you were a distant cousin.
I was wondering if you had a photograph or any info on him, I am researching the Sherwood Rangers.
hope to hear from you , many thanks..karl

Hi, I wanted to say thankyou so much for getting the picture from the Thiepval Memorial for me. I don't think I will have the opportunity to visit it myself, and so it means a lot to have a photo of the engraving of his name. He was my great uncle and was 23 when he died, the only son in a family of eight children. His mother, who had just given birth to his youngest sister, never really recovered from the shock. Before they received official notification of his death she was certainthat he was dead because she said he had come to her in a dream.
Once again thank you so very much for doing this for me. You are a wonderful, thoughtful person.

Thank you so much for finding my relative. I was at Thiepval last week and didn't know he was there
