RE: Photos of William C Webster & family
These pictures were shared with me by my wife's uncle, K. Adamson. K. is the great grandson of Amelia Webster Adamson. I don't know much more about these pictures. Please feel free to use these photos. I was happy to see that everyone in the family photo was identified, which is not always the case with old portraits like these. Have a good day!

William Messner News

Thanks so very much for providing this newspaper article. Ironically, my great grandfather, Daniel Woland (William's brother-in-law), died 8 and 1/2 years later in the same mine. Adaline Messner Woland was then a widow left to care for 6 children.

William Messner
I made the change you suggested for my great grandmother's brother, William Messner. I'm wondering if you have some documentation for his death date of Feb. 3, 1878? Looking closely at my photo of the worn stone (made June 23, 2007 with a 3 megapixel camera), a case could be made for either Feb. 3 or Feb. 8. It would be nice to have a primary source with Feb. 3rd written down.

Ralph Hall - Ogden City Cemetery
Did you know that in Ogden City Cemetery there is a street called Gold Star Drive. About 1921 they planted trees along this street to honor the fallen soldiers of WWI. Each tree had a bronze plaque in front of each tree, but some are now missing. Ralph Hall's plaque is missing, but should have been at the 10th tree on the East side of the street. Starting at the south end. At the entrance is an Bronze tablet with the names of all the men. It was dedicated in 1921 by Service Star Legion Ogden Chapter. Do you have an email that will accept pictures, if so I can send you pictures of this street, tablet and ect. I have around 6 pictures.
