My name is Amy, I live in a small town in Western Massachusetts. I love to stroll through old cemeteries, or just cemeteries in general, it's so peaceful. I found Findagrave about four years ago, searching for family for genealogical purposes. I didn't find any of my immediate family, so I added them. I found one of my distant relatives and now keep in contact with a distant cousin. If anyone out there has any information on those I've added with no cemetery details, please contact me, I want to know where my ancestors are buried. Thank you so much for your help :) If you have time, please visit three babies that are close to my heart, my baby brother, Jeffrey Brian Choquette and my baby niece, Marianna Lee Reed, and my cousin Ryan Choquette, who was taken at just six months by Cystic Fibrosis.|

I have been to the Garrison Graveyard. If you go to the cemetery page, and click on the link under the photos "Click here to view all images", I've posted a photo of one of the signs at the cemetery. It tells a little about the history of the cemeteries that was there, which was taken over by the Garrison Cemetery. There are also photos of most of the headstones (not very many survive today). One of the articles that I read while in Annapolis Royal said that when the English military took over the cemetery and fort, they basically knocked over all of the French headstones. The sign that is at the cemetery says that there weren't any French headstones because they were wooden crosses that have decayed. So it's really hard to say what happened.
It's a large cemetery though, that is mostly grass...

I am related through my great-grandmother, but would be happy to transfer anyone that isn't in my direct line. If you have anyone in mind, please submit a "Suggest other edit" so that I will have the link...

|Jacques Deslauriers||RE: Anna Choquette|
I just found the following :
Joseph A Deslauriers married Philomène Bousquet April 18, 1874 in Ware, Mass. They were Aime's parent.
Just in case it helps.

I was wondering if you are related to Anna Choquette (memorial-111957497)
I am trying to find the parents of her husband Aime J Deslauriers.
|M Chadwick||Matilda Gregory Gilbert|
Hello, Mattie died 1/17/1919 per the newspaper article in the Bridgeport Standard Telegram, Saturday 1/18/1919
CIRCUS "FAT LADY" IS DEAD OF PNEUMONIA - Four Hospital Attaches Needed To Take Mrs. Gilbert To Hospital.
Mrs. Mattie Gilbert, 24 of 60 Colorado Avenue, who was considered to be one of the largest women in the world, and who for the past two years was one of the attractions of the Barnum and Bailey side show, died last night at the Bridgeport Hospital of pneumonia. She weighed 420 pounds and four men were needed to lift her into the transfer ambulance when she was admitted to the hospital early yesterday morning. It was stated at the institution that owing to her excessive weight and weakened condition she lived less than 24 hours after being received there. Besides her husband, George Gilbert, she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Gregory, two sisters, Mrs. Benjamin Lent and Mrs. Lillian Brown, and four brothers, Anthony, David, Lester, and Leonard Gregory. She was a member of St Anthony's Church. Gallagher and Gallagher, who has charge of the funeral arrangements, are devising measures to provide a coffin of extraordinary size.

|Dan & Karen Read||Florence Choquette request|
I see the request for a photo for Florence is gone today, did someone remove it? We know she is buried next to her husband so at least a plot photo is possible, I am headed out there this morning and will get one for you if there is no stone.
