As genealogists, we are also inclined to feel as comfortable in a cemetery as in the dark corners of a library doing research. Helping others find their roots in any small way is a joy. One of the biggest breaks we got in one of our family lines came from information found on a cemetery monument. This has become quite a fun hobby for us!!|

hiya, after going through some boxes ive found some old pictures my grandmother gave me. one is a group photo of more than a dozen people on a church stoop, on the back it just says Olive Branch 1949. ive posted it to the cemetery's page in case someone recognizes someone from the image. let me know if you need anything. thanks!

I believe you posted the wrong picture on this memorial. The same photo is posted on Martha J. Cooley Barker which I think is the correct memorial.

I wonder if I may have your permission to use your cemetery photo on my family website. Check it out at www.freienmuth-shortridge.com/shortridge/cemeteries.html. This is how I'd be using the photos and obituaries I find on Find A Grave, with 'used with permission' in the caption.
|Sandy Baker||Elias A Myers|
I was glad to find Elias in Find a Grave.
He died while serving in Civil War. Elias was the
oldest son of my GGG grandparents James & MaryAnn
(Matthews) Myers. He was living in WY county KS
when he signed up. Many, many thanks to you!

Hi Ed n Edna, Are you still able to photograph in Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery? A few of us are trying to push to get most of it shot more sooner than later.
I'm really proud of Ken and Walter who are really working hard and have gotten the percentage up to 50 percent shot.
So, if you're willing, I've set up some virtual cemeteries to help organize where we shoot since it's really hard to tell what's already been shot.
We would love to have your help. Thanks so much for all you've done already. Look forward to hearing from you, Mary Ann
