RE: Steinkamp
David, my error. My Herman Steinkamp was born in Venne, Osnabruck, Germany and is buried in Woodville, Sandusky, Ohio. His German name:
Johann Gerd Heinrich.

I think I must have stayed up to late and not even noticed the location of the cemetery. My apologies but thanks time for replying back in March which is when we were departing for a trip abroad.

Joseph Ramsden Ramsdell
Hi, I have been searching for Joseph Ramsdell. Could you tell me if there is a grave marker for Joseph Ramsden at the Burial cemetery. Maybe how to get a picture of the marker. We are trying to trace him back to England or where ever he was from. there seems to be many versions where and when Joseph Ramsden Came from. Any help would be great.

RE: Ezekiel Joseph Wilson
As far as I know, none of our original Wilsons were in PA, although some moved there in later years. But, there may be sibling(s) of our immigrant ancestor who we don't know about. The only sibling we know of, a sister, Henrietta, was born in Scotland. We don't know what happened to her, but she would most likely have had a married surname if she came to America. We haven't been able to follow the line in Scotland very far yet.

Take care.

RE: Ezekiel Joseph Wilson
Hi, David,

Don't think so. By his birth date, Ezekiel was the right age to be the son of my Alexander Wilson, our immigrant ancestor, except Alexander died in 1771. There are a couple genealogical/historical books that attribute a son Ebenezer to Alexander, but there is no evidence for this. Alexander named his wife and two children, Alexander and Jane, in his will.

That said, there is a family tradition that Alexander came to America to claim the goods of a deceased brother. We have no evidence for the existence of this brother, who would most likely have been in New York City around the 1760 time period. Alexander's first child was born in NYC in 1764.

Do you know where your Wilsons are from? Mine were from Scotland.

Take care.

RE: Ezekiel Joseph Wilson
Sorry for the delay in responding, David.

Just making sure we are talking about the same Ezekiel - does he have memorial # 12304957?

I don't know of any Ezekiels in my Wilson line, which comes from Scotland. If the memorial above is for your ancestor, it appears likely he is from Ireland. So, although it's not impossible, because I'm still researching our Scottish ancestors, I would think it was unlikely.

If that memorial is not for your ancestor, I still don't know of any Ezekiels.

Some of my family did move to southwest MO, but there was another Wilson family there as well - the family after whom Wilson Creek is named is not my line.

If I missed something, let me know.

Take care.

RE: Eleanor Roegge
Thank you for the photo for John Roegge, I would think their family would have a grave marker for both of them. The family goes to the same Church I do here in Mexico, MO.. I appreciate you checking when the snow melts and weather warms up.
Thanks,
Marty

RE: Mayes photo's
David & Susan,
I sincerely appreciate your time and efforts! You did a wonderful job, & using chalk is just fine. I'd sure rather have that than photos of two unreadable tombstones.

Thanks once again for "all" you have done. The same wishes back at you two. Virginia
