Bio and Links
Bio Photo In my journey to trace my family roots, most of whom I had never known. I saw the importance of documenting our deceased loved ones. My history starts in Newfoundland, Canada, where do to the age of the stones, the type of weather the area recieves and the rugged land where they are burried, these stones will not last forever, and when they are gone I don't want them to be forgotten.
I am interested in sharing genealogy information on the Surnames I list here.
Willing to take photos in Calgary, Alberta Canada.... Just ask

Hi Nicole,

Thank you for taking the photos of the cemetery. Sure, if you want to pass that on to me I have no objection. Thank you as well for the memorial text you posted.

Thomas Rockett
I noticed your post on Thomas Rockett's memorial page. I'm not sure what your connection is to the Rockett's. I do know that Thomas life was tragically ended in an automobile accident. He was my Mother's brother.

Thomas Rockett and much of the Rockett family tree dating back to the 1820s I have recorded at There are also family connections in the USA and I have entered those as well insofar as I know them. The Rockett family, originally spelled "Rocket" are the descendants of two brothers, Richard and Peter, who were given land grants in Nova Scotia in the 1820s.

Thomas Rockett's Index Number at is LL4B-XBQ

Imcidently, the local Milestone history book has a 2 page story about the Arneson family. Would you like that? If so please send me your postal address.

RE: Johnathan and Ida Burns
You are very welcome. I was so glad that I could help.
Perhaps you could do me a favour the next time you are taking pictures in Queens Park Cemetery in Calgary. I have a son buried there in Sec J ( baby section- no marker), Baby Boy Redshaw. I was wondering if you could take a picture of the section for me . I remember there was a children's park with a slide behind that section just outside the fence of the cemetery. It was a long time ago so it may no longer be there.
Thank you, Jim

RE: Johnathan and Ida Burns
Hi, I have uploaded 2 pictures. One for the marker and the other gives a sample of the markers surrounding it. I hope this helps. Have a great day! Jim

Hi, I am currently out of town. I will be happy to take a photo on my return in early August. I hope that is OK.
