"that name" etched in stone.

I hope I'm helping one generation find and discover another generation.

In my family tree are the names of Ambrose, Beahn, Bean, Tyler, Hicks, Zolton, Stevenson, Jacobs & Chrismore/Crismore

Sarah Hart
Sarah's father, John Scudder Hart, was the twin brother of James Montgomery Hart, my Emmett's grandfather. So he & Emmett Buckey Vanscoy are second cousins. My Emmett's mother & Sarah had a first cousin Emmett Buckey, son of George Buckey & Elizabeth Hart.

RE: Henry Theodore Hicks Memorial# 9203437
Henry was married to my Great Grandfather Emmett Weese's sister Almeda "Mead" Weese. My Grandfather George Weese had postcards from his Uncle Henry.

Thanks so much for asking, I have seen my family pictures & tombstone pictures in all kinds of trees on Ancestry & no one has ever asked to use them. Seems once they are posted anywhere, they are up for grabs. I guess sharing is the reason anything is posted online. Help yourself.

Yes, it is James Clifton Childress, Jr.

RE: Thomas H. Childress
I don't follow the Childress line, but for some reason I think James C. was James Clifton Childress. The Clark(e) line is very mixed up as to who used the 'e' and who didn't. Mary is correct without it, and mine is correct with it. I am descended from Thomas & Mary Jones Clark, and my father was Hartwell Patteson Clarke.

Thomas H. Childress
I have transferred Mr. Childress to you. His wife is my 1st cousin, 3 times removed, so take good care of him! Also, perhaps you can get the duplicate (which was added 4 years after my entry) removed. I asked the poster to do so, but no luck so far.

Lucy & Robert Childress
Cindy, I am responding to your request to transfer management of Lucy Ann Overton Minor and Robert Childress. They are my 2x great grandparents, so no, I am not interested in transferring management of their memorials. (64983763 & 65203228) In answer to your question about Lucy's headstone. It is a replica of her original tombstone. I visit her grave every year at the annual Homecoming at Mount Zion UMC, where she is buried. Robert is buried at Mount Moriah because he is with his second wife whom he married after Lucy's death. In case you don't know, Robert is the son of Revolutionary War patriot, Benjamin Childress, also buried at Mount Zion.
