Hello! I have been studying my family history for several years. I just recently found this site. I think it is a beautiful idea to memorialize our loved ones this way. It helps with the sadness and loss one feels. I would like to help document all cemeteries old and new in this country. Everyone was loved by someone and they need to be on a register so future generations can view them.
I am currently compiling pictures and info on several cemeteries in my area that I intend to transcribe to this site. If any information is in error or incomplete on any memorials I enter please email me, I will correct it immediately.
TO FAMILY MEMBERS OF LOVED ONES I POST:
If you would like control of your loved one's memorial, please let me know. I would never deprive anyone of remembering relatives or friends in their own special way.
My intent is to post as many people as possible for future reference, not to offend anyone.

Memorial 20148064 is the same as another memorial for Nina Weese. The other one has her obit and tombstone picture on it. Could you please delete yours? Thank you.
|Ann Harman Thomas||Ruth Thompson Howell|
Ruth was married to my uncle William (Bill) Howell
Can you tell me who the caretaker is for this cemetery?
|Hall96||RE: Holcomb Jones Cemetery|
I'm sure that we are related, but I'd have to dig out my family tree to figure it out. My mom was a Holcomb. George Washington Holcomb is her uncle. I'll get those pictures uploaded this week sometime.

I have photographed the headstones in this cemetery. Do you want them added to the memorials you have created?

I recently received an email from Robert Carter, contributor # 46599530, who advised me that both you and I have an entry for Nan Matney Childress and that only one entry is allowed. My enry # is 31919666. I fully realize that my entry is later than yours, but I would like to ask if you will be willing to delete your entry and let mine remain. My reason: Nan Matney Childress was the mother of my wife and I have been manageing as many of the memorials as I possible can. If you will go to my entry you will notice that there are connections to her deceased child, her husband, all sisters and brothers, her parents, and there are a multitude of connections from there to others. Whereas, your entry shows only the birth & death dates and cemetery location. I would appreciate very much if you will accommodate me on this request. Thank you.
Thanks so much for transferring management of Samantha Mullins (my great-grandma) to me. I appreciate it.

Thanks for the transfer. So many people are under the wrong idea about cemetery photos. If you create a memorial of course the "cemetery" photo appears automatically on that memorial. Right under the cemetery photo you can click on the "don't want cemetery photo?" button and you can delete it. You can restore that photo if you change your mind. This can only be done with the cemetery photo- not the grave photos. Once you transfer a memorial no photo can be deleted (unfortunately).
