A few years back, I began to delve into our family history. I had found myself in a position where I was unable to work (most places dislike it when you are lying down on the job) and I didn't want my brain turning to mush anymore then it has to! I have learned things, not only about my family, but other families and history in general. I found this site helpful and felt that I could contribute to it on my better days. Thankfully, my husband gives in to this quest of mine and helps me out.|
I love walking cemeteries, but it hurts to see the stones that have been forgotten or damaged by vandalism and neglect. We have taught my teenage sons to respect the graves of those who have gone before us. We have woven stories of the importance of remembering what has passed. They may grumble a bit, but, in the end, it has been worth taking them on my travels.

Hi Britt, thanks for the photo, and hope you dont mind if i use this headstone photo on my husband's tree, its his aunt's first husband.

I notice now and then it duplicates public messages. Not your fault
I will wait. Maybe the person that added the pictures will remove them. Other wise you could change dates to match photos. LOL
You must have had someone in mind when you did it.
LOL I just checked and see you Deleted the whole memorial.
Guess that's one way to fix the problem.

I am sending you and the photo person both an email. Between you two you have a correction to make on this person. I rotated one photo and it is clear it is not the same as your memorial. But what edits you two want to work out is between you.

Thank you again for the headstone picture you took for me in Milwaukee.

Thanks so much for the transfer! I have information to add about him and this will be easier for both of us.

Thanks for putting the picture of Fred Rathke's gravestone on find a grave. He is my husband's great-great grandfather. I am curious why you posted the gravestone picture, but thankful that you did.

|Glenn & Kathy||Thank you|
Britt Thank you very much for getting me the headstones, I really appreciate it. Glenn
Yes, Hildagard was the daughter of John (1869-1944) & Elizabeth (1874-1944) Thielen.
The confusion is that there were TWO Elizabeths!
The OTHER one was married to Nicolaus (1867-1941).
