Beard`s .....once they were in this area from the 1800`s, we come from Hancock County where we settled 5 miles east of Findlay, Ohio on the south side of the Blanchard river. While the Civil war was going on, we migrated to Dowling, Ohio north of Bowling Green. There my Great Grandfathers wifes parents bought 80 acres and settled there, all of his brothers and sisters were born there.My great grandfather left Dowling and then settled in Bloomdale, Ohio in Wood County. George Washington Beard was my Great Grandfather buried at Weaver Cemetery in Bloom Twp.
