Thank you very much for your response, you english is actually really great, no worries. Thanks for the information about my grandfather and where he fought. We don't know a lot of details about where he died so any little bit helps. I have been searching the Internet and having been finding small bits at a time and learning about him from that.
Perhaps if you ever find yourself in the cemetery on a summer day you could send a photo of his grave with the flowers and greenery my way.

I am the grand daughter of Private Victor Huffman and on behalf of my father Victor and the rest of my family I would like to say thank you for the photos of my grand fathers grave. Our family has never been able to visit my grand fathers resting place so it's comforting to be able to see it and know that it is well taken care of. Until we are one day able to visit we truly appreciate having the pictures.

Thank you, much appreciated.
Thank you for directing me to the Belgian War Dead Register.
I've added his parents names to his memorial, and a link to the entry on the Belgian website.

Zeer bedankt voor de foto's Frank. Was hij de enige met een plaatje van "Brigade Piron", of waren er nog?

His story was particularly sad as his wife, my cousin, had tuberculosis and died shortly after he went overseas (Sep 1944)--it appears they lost their only son, not long before that, age 9, probably from TB as well.

Frank - a heartfelt thank you so very much for the great photo of Amedee's military marker. It's nice to see such a well kept stone and your photos are crystal clear. So from across the ocean in Maine, thank you for giving of your time to locate his resting place -it is truly appreciated. He is a recently discovered great-uncle of my wife's.
