|Bio and Links|
Hello, We have been active in our ancestral research for about fifteen years now. We got started just about a year before my father died. He was doing some research himself and had documented a makeshift tree. Even though his work was incomplete it gave us the initiative to take it and run with it. Several years later we have over 30,000 people in our tree and have visited several cemeteries in the area where we live. After a few thousand headstones photos taken we are now in the process of uploading them to Find A Grave as well as Ancestry. It has been arduous work but very rewarding to us. Unfortunately, the reason we are adding a bio now is because the efforts we have taken to make sure our relatives are remembered by information here and on Ancestry, is, our photos are being taken without our permission and then claimed by others as their own. We started noticing this about a year ago and started putting a small watermark on the photos. This has not stopped people from stealing our work. We would rather not put anything on the photos themselves because we believe it takes away form the aesthetics of the photo, however, it has become necessary. Now it seems as though even having the small watermark is not enough to deter those who would take what does not belong to them without asking or giving credit. So much for the small watermark. Now you will be finding photos we upload will have GLARING marks on them. Sorry about that.|
We are not averse to letting people copy these photos, we just ask that credit be given where credit is due. Just ASK. You might be surprised how willing we are to share. With the proper credit given. Unfortunately, the watermarks will remain.
Because we are not able to travel long distances, we ourselves have taken photos from others on this site "WITH PRIOR PERMISSION" and with due credit given. So, we understand the desire to have a copy of your own.

What a small world, isn't it? I remember reading her name on his memorial page. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks a bunch! I have transcribed her obit and referenced you as the source. Was able to link to her parents and sent edits to link brother Ramon also in Maquon Cem, brother Dale, and son Larry.
While I was searching went ahead and sent edits for Edward's wife Irene for parents and couple siblings.
I'm guessing she had the kids out of wedlock or maybe even chance were one of her nephews that she ended up raising. 1940 census had Larry as grandson.

Hi Tom & Nancy:
The incorrect photo has been removed from
Jacob Dills Gum memorial (5446996).
Thank you for making me aware of this mistake.
I wanted to make sure I updated Ida Belle Fleisher Seaman correctly on my ancestry page #174819026. You provided her maiden name as Fleisher but I had that she was married to a Fleisher because Edward's memorial said he had 2 stepsons by that name.

So sorry I entered the number incorrectly. I'm not very good with this IPad. I appreciate your effort in finding the memorial I was referring to.

I am confused about the death date of Sydney Angelica (Rummel) McHenry, who was my GG Grandmother. It seems there are two findagrave memorials for her. The other memorial (the one other than yours) shows a different cemetery and grave marker. It also shows a death date of Nov. 1, 1874.
This memorial # is 77635595. Have you seen it? I am wondering which is correct.
Memorial # 146416910 (your memorial) is showing a death date of March 8, 1907. Are these 2 different people? I have checked the 1880, 1890, and 1900, Illinois censuses and have not found her, though I did find her in the 1850, 1860, and 1870 censuses. Do you know where the March 8, 1907 death date comes from? Since there is no grave stone, I cannot tell. Your opinion would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Distant Cousin
Thanks for the info- Leona was my great-aunt, my grandfather was her brother Lamar Gross.
Now I have a question for you, where did your info come from the Leona's family was in Germany ??
The only thing I have on them pertaining to Germany is- their father John Gross was the son of a Catherine (Derr), I'm not sure and have no proof of marriage of her to either of the fathers to her 2 children. She had Ida (Stahl) Welker from a John Stahl, and then my g-grandfather John Lewis Gross on July 29, 1877 in Ft Springs, Schuylkill co, and he died April 29, 1945, in Lavelle, Schuylkill co.
On his death cert, his daughter Jean, lists his father was Charles Gross who was born in Germany. I have nothing farther on him. I'm still tossing it about that they orginate from the Grosser family ?
But can find no proof as of yet.

Just wondering if you are related to William Tesno in any way ??
Would be great if you were.
