RE: Mabel Alford

You're very welcome. I am glad I could have been of help.

There are 6 people buried in that plot. It is not uncommon in New Orleans that some of the older plots do not have headstones. That can be caused for a number of reason such as the family not having sufficient funds to pay for a headstone, it was damaged or broken over time or for some unknown reason.

I can assure you that there are bodies in that grave. Cypress Grove requires that remains be placed in wood coffins, as they will deteriorate over time, and allow for more burials in the same plot. Some of these plots have as many as 30-40 remains of family members.

Those listed as buried at 922 Mulberry Jessamine Rose:
First Middle Last Name Age Date of Burial

Mabel Alford 87 01/08/1990
Jacob Allen Anderson 83 01/21/1946
Mabel H. Anderson 68 10/14/1951
Benny Joseph Pastor 78 01/07/1980
Ethel M. Pastor 76 12/27/1991
Eunice E Schlottman 46 10/22/1950

I hope that answers your questions.

You are very much welcome ma'am. I actually walked by his headstone several times before I realized he is buried head to head with his parents. I wasn't until I walked on the backside of the marker that I noticed this. Once again your much welcome

Dr Harry Stephenson
Hi Paula, You might want to thank DK Paddock (#47116013) for taking the picture of Dr. Harry Stephenson. I just looked on my photos and I did not take his gravestone picture. That would be findagrave member, DK Paddock #47116013. I'm glad you did get a gravestone photo for him.

RE: Lena 'Lettie' Myrtle McCutcheon Redfern
The transfer has been completed. Thank you for requesting it. If there are other "Redfern" memorials you would like transferred, just let me know. I am not related to them; a branch ancestor married a Redfern (for a short time) :) :) and I thought the name so unusual I began researching it and was surprised to find that not many of that name were memorialized on Find A Grave for family to find. You are welcome to any you might want.

James Hickey family
You are listed as the person who added James Hickey, Mother Joseph cemetery, Vancouver, Wa. to the find a grave.

I don't know if you are related or not, but just wanted to let you know that 6 of the children who died between 1889 and 1899 are buried in the Ingram, Wisconsin cemetery. I don't think there is any family left in the area, but the last few years, someone has decorated the headstones for Memorial Day. A photo of this years is on their find-a-grave pages. They are not forgotten.

Elmer Laddusaw

I see you left a flower for Elmer Laddusaw. I am of no relation, but I found a picture of his family in the Le Mars Daily Sentinel that I posted to his page. I'm sure you can find more information about him and his family by searching their names here:

Do you have the section number and plot number? If not you can contact the cemetery at 281-332-3111 and they will look it up for you. The cemetery is so large and without this info it would be hard to locate. I will be happy to go photograph the marker/monument for you.
