Bio and Links
Bio Photo Born in Chicago and raised in the 1950's in the Wisconsin-Illinois State line area about 30 miles West of Lake Michigan. We presently live in NW Montana.

I have been doing Family History research for nearly 30 years (on and off) and am grateful for the tremendous help that the many sites and technologies have made for those of us who cannot travel the world. But I do love the "turning over rocks" of seeking out ancestors and am happy to help others when I can.

Find-A-Grave is a phenomenal resource! I wish I had found it when it started.

Permission to use any of my contributions, volunteer photos and such is hereby granted.

Happy hunting.

I am researching my family history and Robert J. R. Baker is my great great great great grandfather on mom's side of the family. Joe Jerkins came up as a descendant of Mr. Baker. Are you part of this family.

Perhaps you all should get some photos up for the graves in Delavan. The only reason the dates differ is because the dates I post are on the tombstone photos I have. I took of the tombstones and I have not had time to post them. There is a great need for volunteers to take photos and many people appreciate what I have done by volunteering and some have used the photos to prove D.A.R. lineage. Please get involved and take photos to help other people. You know where the lines are between the two cemeteries and I don't.

RE: Your work with Find A Grave

I took photos of the graves and that is the only reason I added them. I have not had time to edit and upload all of the photos yet. Sorry if they were in the wrong cemetery. There is no line marking where Spring Grove ends and the other cemetery begins. In order to make you happy I have decided to transfer all the Forrester people I have in Delavan on Find a Grave to you. You can delete them if you want.

I corrected his entry and transferred him to you.

There is some serious problem with the 1900 birth years in the California Death Index. I have spot checked it myself after using it as a source and there must have been some systemic data entry problem going on, maybe they were told not to code 1900 for a birth year because their computer wouldn't accept it? I have no idea, all I know is that a large number of people have birth years listed as 1901 that should be 1900. If a death shows up in the Social Security Death Index I try to double check it against that, but unfortunately I created thousands of records that apparently have the wrong birth year.

Good afternoon Keith, I know about what section that he would be at, it is just going to take some time to walk through it. I met a person that has been their for a long time and he said that he would help me try and find it. Will be in touch.
