|If I add marker or cemetery photos to a memorial or cemetery that already has a photo, it has nothing to do with you. Many times it's just a slightly larger photo of the marker, or a closeup, or a different angle. Or sometimes it's just because I have a lot of heart involved in a person's memorial. The main reason is that markers deteriorate so quickly sometimes that I want to preserve as much as possible while we can.|
I've been doing genealogy for over 20 years. I had never made a major focus on cemeteries or burials until the last 10 years or so. Now they are very important to me, since I've learned how much more they can tell us about family and history.
Like most of you probably, my family and friends attempt to hide my eyes or distract me when we pass a cemetery. I could probably find a burial related to me or someone I know in most cemeteries in the United States
Most of all I'm grateful to all the wonderful individuals who created and maintain "Find-A-Grave" to help preserve the memories and images of our world-wide family, as well as the other everyday people who contribute here!

|Taylor Hawkins ||Info About Catherine Lazell|
I wanted to talk to you about Find A Grave Memorial# 91283096 (Catherine E Oxley Lazell). According to her death certificate photo posted in her memorial, her burial place is "Beallsville, Maryland" rather than the Delta Center Cemetery in Grand Ledge, MI hence the reason she has no marker at Delta. (If you look closely, it looks like Delta Center was once written on her death certificate but then removed & replaced by "Beallsville, MD".) Anyway, my real question is do you remember where you found the info posted in her memorial? It states that Catherine is buried with some of her husband's Lazell relatives. Is it possible it was intended for her to be buried there but then was instead taken to Maryland?
Here is the link to her memorial/burial in Maryland where she is with the rest of her family: https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=6808640
Thank you so much for your time & dedication to this site!
- Taylor Hawkins (great-great granddaughter of Katherine Lazell)
There are two memorials at Delta Center, one for Eliza Smith and the other for Elizabeth Smith. Any chance these are the same person? I just fulfilled a photo request for Elizabeth Smith assuming she was the same as Eliza Smith. If they are different people, I'll remove the photo as I see you've already established a memorial for Eliza. Thanks!

Hi - I submitted an edit for the subject individual at Delta Center Cemetery. The reason is minor...there is a space between the "Van" and "Houten" and so when doing a search, his name doesn't show up with his VanHouten relatives (where there is no space).

|Maureen||Inez Heath Brown|
Your photo and description of Inez Heath Brown's marker totally confuses me! I'm a descendant of Sherborne (aka Sherbie) Heath and his second wife Sarah. His first wife was Minerva King. Inez is their child. So yes, this is that Inez, but she wasn't born in 1836 she was born in 1856. Could the inscription be corroded or somehow looks like a different number? Inez' husband John Emery Brown is also buried here. Thanks for posting this!

|Priscilla Parr||Wesley Waldie Birth Record|
Thanks for the link to Wesley's birth record. At times the transcriptions are really off the wall. I like ancestry in that I can give corrections. You can't with familysearch.
|Marie Lee||Richard Lee|

Mary died Nov 4, 1955 at the home of her son Oscar H Lee in Aurelius Twp, Ingham Co, Mi. Mary is buried by Charles Ashley in the Stilson Cemetery, Victor, Clinton Co, Mi.
