Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been a serious genealogist since 1975. Most of my family lines are in New York State and my contributions to Find A Grave are mostly burials and headstones on my father's side with the surnames Sutherland, Barnes, Romaine and Cypher and other connected families in New York City and Westchester County. A cousin has done most of the same with my mother's family in upstate New York.

Some other names I have been adding are from my husband's family -- Feitners, Formans, Fields, Minnerlys, et al. My contributions now are mostly to cemeteries in Ossining, NY, and other nearby Westchester County cemeteries. I live in Virginia now but visit NY frequently. I left my heart in New York, not San Francisco!

Minnerly family
Hi Jeanne. I see your husband is related to the Minnerly family. My great aunt, Christina Mary Seifert Minnerly, was married to Herbert Leroy Minnerly. Christina was my paternal grandmother's sister. I've tried finding info on their son Russell but haven't had much luck. The only thing I found is that Russell was living with Christina's mother and stepfather in N.Tarrytown in 1920 when he was 9 years old

Hello Jeanne. I see you mention family connections in NYC & Westchester, and I see you have memorials for Edward E. Higgins & wife Mary Hogan. Are you connected to the Higgins family?? Edward Higgins was my grandfather Joe Higgins' younger brother. I dont recall coming across the name Sutherland on the Higgins tree.

Nathaniel Fowler
Hi Jeanne...
Nathaniel Fowler is my 5th Grandfather.
Would you be able to transfer him to me, so I can work on setting up the links down to my Grandmother?

Thank you,
Stacey :-)

HI, not sure if she is related, but wanted to let you know that on my last trip to NY, I visited the Old Dutch Cemetery and photographed some of the headstones. Elizabeth and her family were amongst them. PS, you might want to change the cemetery to Old Dutch, as that is the one that they are buried in. Have a great day!

Andrew L. Purdy (!823-1888)
You have his parents as his son Edgar P. Purdy and his daughter-in-law Elizabeth.

I deleted the other one with the name "Katherine". However, I need to go back to that cemetery to see if there is another headstone (which I think there is) for the same person. That other headstone would show it with the "K" spelling. But even if this is so, there should be only one record and so the reason I deleted it as you recommended. Thanks.

Jeanne - Thank you for your photo of my Aunt Nellie's cemetery monument at Dale Cemetery! I just recently found out where she and Uncle Elias were buried, and appreciate your generosity of time and effort. Pat
