Hi Dennis - I have transferred his memorial over to you. I am not family. I just periodically take photos of headstones in Garden of Memories and put them in if they are not already in Find A Grave.

The winter is the best time to visit cemeteries. No snakes, no ticks, no biting bugs, poison ivy juice still dormant, etc.
I have no idea where Grant Cemetery is.

I have been out there several times in the last month. It will soon be too late to check the cemetery much more this year as spring is coming on fast. Within the last month in my multiple trips out to Helm Cemetery in McCracken County, I have located two previously undocumented stones.

Hello, I have just added a photo for your Find a Grave Memorial #155498987 for Elizabeth Boyed. However, the memorial has her name misspelled as Elizabeh Boyd. I'm sure it was just a typo, but I would appreciate you making the correction. Thanks so much. T. Mehlin

Earlier this year you requested a grave photo at Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis. This cemetery is quite large and without a plot location it is near impossible to just stumble upon a requested grave.
I am happy to try to fulfill your request though if you will contact the office and ask for the plot location.
Just let me know, or post the plot on the memorial and I will try to fulfill it in the near future
The office can be reached at (901) 767-8930

I am so glad someone created a memorial for this gentleman and thank you for adding the photograph. However, his birthplace was Ducktown, not Darktown and the town is Cumming, not Cummings. I'm not meaning to be 'picky' but I thought you might want to know. Incidentally, I live about three miles from his birthplace.

No, I'm not related to him. I've recently made several Photo Requests for people buried at Fort Lincoln Cemetery and noticed that you had put in a Photo Request for his wife, Ethel B. Yancey.
Since there wasn't a birth date listed for her I checked the Social Security Death Index for one but she wasn't listed. I then checked for one for her husband, Rev. Dr. George Roosevelt Yancey, and did find one for him and therefore sent the information to you to update his Memorial.
I hope you have a Happy Valentine's Day!

We moved from KauaiHawaii to Idaho three years ago but St. Clement’s is still our church when we visit family on Oahu.
While visiting this Christmas I fulfilled a photo request at St. Clement’s, Honolulu and realized that there were several hundred names there that did not have memorials assigned so I photographed every plaque. I then made an Excel spreadsheet of all the names I had photographed, highlighted those that already had memorials and added the rest to the site. This is the second duplicate. I have deleted the memorial I added and added the plaque photo to your post. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.
Wishing you good family history hunting,
|Sue Tanner||Rex Yancey|
Hi, Just a note to let you know that the Cemetery has no record of a Rex Yancey.
Sooo, unless you have another name, nickname, that he went by I am removing this request. If you do have another name, just resubmit the request.

I could not locate Velva or Gus Yanceys markers. His memorial shows row 19.I searched the entire cemetery and only found the other 3 Yanceys that are listed there. There is room next to those where they could be and a marker(s) were never placed. Send me an email and I will supply you with contact info for the cemetery.Hopefully they can be of assistance. If you find out a location let me know and I will go back out and get the photo.
