|Anita Salisbury||Reuben Bartlett|
I think there is a really good possibility that Reuben's father was John Barlet (or Bartlett), according to census records, it looks like John was Barlet in the 1860 census and Bartlett in the 1870 - the rest of his families names and ages match both records as well. I have found a Find-A-Grave for John, under John Barlet. His wife was named Hanna(h)... Please let me know if you would like further information and/or your opinion on this? Thank you!!
|Chuck Goehrig||Maiden Name for Catherine Salo|
You have a memorial # 136306830 for Catherine Salo. Her maiden name is Larison. Before she was married to a Salo, she was also married to George Retorick. Just thought you would like to know this info. Catherine is my 2nd cousin once removed.
|karen kearney||Heidi Eck|
Heidi is my cousin and she is very much alive. Why did you have her as deceased? That's creepy. Please verify your information before you post it.
|lesnyder1||John Dingler (Memorial #75123259)|
The Pennsylvania Veterans' Burial Card that you added for John Dingler (Memorial #75123259) is causing confusion for historians and genealogists researching the Dingler family and the 47th Pennsylvania Volunteers. (I've been researching the 47th Pennsylvania for about a decade, and can say with a fair degree of certainty that the elder John Dingler was not the man who served with the 47th Pennsylvania Volunteers during the Civil War; it was his son John C. Dingler.)
The confusion is somewhat understandable since there are two John Dinglers buried at the Jersey Shore cemetery, and since the vets' burial card doesn't provide a middle initial or birth or death dates for the John Dingler who served with the 47th's E Company. But, when you look at military records for the 47th Pennsylvania and the Civil War Veterans' Card File at the Pennsylvania State Archives, it becomes clear that the man who served with the 47th Pennsylvania was not the older John Dingler of Memorial #75123259, but was his son John C. Dingler. (The vets' card file shows that the man who served with the 47th was in his 30s when he enlisted - which matches the birth date of the younger man. Additionally, Bates' "History of Pennsylvania Volunteers, 1861-5," indicates that the oldest man to serve with the 47th Pennsylvania, Benjamin Walls, was 65 at the time of his enlistment in 1861. The elder John Dingler, had he enlisted in 1861, would have been 68. So this would also conflict with Bates, which is a trusted Civil War research resource.)
I just wanted to let you know that I've asked the memorial creator, Kathryn, to remove the index card that you added to the memorial for the elder John Dingler in order to prevent further confusion for those researching the family and/or the 47th Pennsylvania.
See duplicate record 112505320 which has George's burial location. Can you combine? He is my husband's third cousin. I am not the creator of the duplicate memorial.

|Judi Dickens Paul||Wrong Parents|
Christopher Sheets b. 1820 memorial #27597877 has parents as Abraham Sheets b. 1822 memorial #27597867. Abraham is his brother not his father. Please correct. Unable to locate Christopher's father. Thank you, Judi Dickens Paul
|VASMD||Richard S Bower, born 1933|
Richard S Bower, born 1933 husband of Joan Anita Bower IS NOT DECEASED! He is my uncle and is very much alive.
Please make this correction.
Also, if you have no relationship with this family I would appreciate if you would turn the management of this page over to me as it is my immediate family.
Thanks very much

|Sharon Leon||John Huling of Lycoming Co., PA|
Hi - You created a memorial in 2008 for my ancestor John Huling. I manage the memorial now. Do you recall how you knew he was buried in the James Bower Farm Cemetery? I don't see a headstone pictured. He died 9 July 1802 in Mosquito Valley, which may be where he was living. I'm wondering if his wife Sarah (Seely) Huling could be buried there, too? I don't know when she died. She and John Huling had a large family. Sharon
