I will transfer any entry I've made to your care- I don't care what your relationship or reason. I'm not related to any of my entries except a very few. My effort is documentation and finding the lost among the stones.|
It might be helpful to others to cite the source of requested updates; But even that omission won't stop the update.
How to Request a TRANSFER
*Note: You must be logged in for this procedure to work:
1. Click on the "EDIT TAB" top right of the entry
2. Click "SUGGEST A CORRECTION...."
3. Type the word "TRANSFER"
That gives me ALL the information I need to make the transfer.
Living in Northern Chester County, Pennsylvania,
"I See Dead People."
I haunt cemeteries for tombstone photos and follow up with obituaries if available at the Chester County Historical Society. Or Vice-Versa, I get the obit then find tombstone.
Let me know where I can help in Chester County, Pennsylvania

What does the phrase "natural causes" mean in an obituary? The answer is that all causes of death belong to one of three categories: violent, accidental, and natural. Death by "natural causes" does not mean the person died of "old age," it means the person was not killed in an accident or an act of violence. When an infant dies of a congenital heart problem, that's natural causes.
Many obituaries or death reports will include a specific cause of death, such as heart attack, lung cancer, etc., but often, they only state "natural causes," or it can be adduced from phrases like "no indication of foul play," "died peacefully in his sleep," etc. The older the deceased is, there's more of a presumption of natural causes. For example, a note like "no indication of foul play" is more likely to be found in the death report of someone in her 20s than someone in her 90s.

Haste per census records. Could be Haiste but definetely NOT Hart. One of the obits mistakenly says McAleese but that would have been Margaret's mother's maiden name, Mary Haste (McAleese). Your obits continue to spur on family conversations and add bits of info I did not have. Can not thank you enough.

Thank you Dan for the update. Regards, Vivien
|jmurphy||RE: Alma Murphy|
Thanks a million for the pics and the encouraging remarks.
Here is the deal with my grandmother Alma Murphy Urwiler, 118622337. The death cert must be right that Nichols is correct for Alma's mothers maiden name. Alma Urwiler's mother, Alma J Urwiler (Nichols) 45028626, was married 2X. 1st marriage to William Kennedy Urwiler, 151613315. William was 60 yrs old when he married Alma J. More power to him. They had two children, William Ellwood Urwiler and Alma Susanna Murphy (Urwiler), my grandmother.
Alma's 2nd marriage was to Robert Edwin Dripps. I have not found his grave. They had one child, Robert Edwin Dripps. I updated/submitted on line updates for these.
Although my grandmother Alma Murphy was deceased before I was born, I knew and visited with Uncle Robert Dripps and Aunt Ellen "Mickey" often.
Wow, this stuff is complicated. Like a huge 10000 piece puzzle.
Take good care and thanks again for the pics

Thanks Dan for the tombstone photo and your suggestions. I am adding your note to Elizabeth's page. Should I also put that this stone is in the Travis lot?

These 3 documents you have provided have created more questions for me. I am missing a daughter somewhere. The census's have Jane Martin married to Charles Griffith, Malinda married to Joseph Nichols, Sarah married to Jessie Adams, Rachel died in 1885, Sons William apparently died young and might be the person buried between the two. I sent a message to the cemetery to ask if they had any information. And John.
Cant find who married Alfred Yerkes and Charles Grant. Don't have enough daughters. Weird Weird Weird.
