Thanks for you note about Edward Jackson Edwards & Isabella Hair Edwards. They are my maternal great-great grandparents & therefore I could do no less for them.
I appreciate the connection from Iona Hales to Edwin
Linzy Perry based only on my word.
Mrs Iona Perry was my mother's best friend and was
like a second mother to me and my siblings. She has been sorely missed.

Thank you so much for looking for me. The name is right and the death year is right. We can't find his wife either. At the time of his death, John W. Torrentine was made guardian of his minor children. And as luck would have it we can't find John W. after the 1850 census when he was in Davie Co. and had one of James' children (Hannah Foster) with him. But there were 7 more minor children.
The monument for this James is large and it is like his family wanted to be sure it would last. I was hoping there were several more Fosters with him that would help me make a decision that he was who we were looking for. Again, Thank you so much, Judy

Hi Vonna, We wanted to know if you had any information about James Foster 1846.
We have been searching for "our" James Foster who lived in Davie Co. NC. He died in 1846. We have not been able to locate him in the area where he lived.
We do not have a birth date for him. We can not think of a reason he would have been buried in Cumberland Co. Please let me know if you have any information about him. Thank you, Judy Church

Vonna, next to Lizzie is a daughter, Rozelin Loyd.
Oct.24,1898 - July 22,1904.
Newman and Lizzie are the parents.
If you want to manage the site, you can make it and request the photo.

Vonna, thanks for the reply. I have tried on a couple occasions to ask owners who have posted to Sandhills Veterans to remove duplicates but as you can see, not being very successful. have a great week.

Yes, it was a nice surprise seeing your picture and information about my sister. I share the news with my dad and showed him what you had. My mom passed away in 2010. She would have loved it too. Thank you!
