Just a friend!|
Please understand that I have no control over the names, words and dates engraved on stones, written on death certificates or provided in obituaries. I didn't write them. I'm only providing those previously written words to you.
I have been an active contributor on this site for over 15 years, so yes it stands to reason that I have a fair number of memorials that I have entered, added to and lovingly care take even though they may not be a branch of my own family. It's quite possible that if I had not entered the memorial to begin with, you may not have been able to find them.
Individuals using this site need to realize that we are all volunteers and do not need to deal with abusive behavior or rudeness just because we won't make a transfer to someone who has registered two days or two months ago and want every memorial on the site with the surname of Jones. Or a transfer of a memorial of someone who they think just might be a fifth cousin, four times removed of their third ex-husband.
If you are new to this site, PLEASE read the "Frequently Asked Questions" located "HERE". If you take just a moment to familiarize yourself with these guidelines, it will definitely help yours and everyone else's state of mind, blood pressure and headaches. Just a hint, most people will not respond to your liking when bullying tactics are used.
If you will please use the "Edit" tab located on each memorial, I will be more than happy to correct, edit or add information to a memorial that is meaningful. I will not add all of the information from the past ten census records that have been released or any distasteful or disturbing messages.
Please be kind. We all make mistakes from time to time. If I have made a mistake or created a duplicate memorial later than one you have created, please use the "Edit" tab and send me the correction or let me know of the duplication and it will be taken care of quickly.
I will make transfers using the "Guidelines" if they are not a relative of mine. I will transfer your children, siblings, parents, grandparents or great-grandparents. All other requested transfers will be considered if you use the "Edit" feature and state your relationship or intended need for the memorial.
Lastly and most importantly, there are so many absolutely wonderful people that use Find-A-Grave! I am very appreciative for all of the suggested corrections, additional information and photos that have been provided. Please don't allow the rude, abusive and sometimes rather bizarre behavior of individuals to curb your enthusiasm or your want to help others.

Hello Joan, I am the little son of patrick, I am French and I intend to come in 2018 to see the tomb of my grandfather. I hope you can give me more information about it. I am looking for my American family, if you can help me I would be grateful. Cordially William Hurst
Hello Joan, I am a Farris descendant and just discovered the memorial of Estelle Farris O'Banion. Is Estelle's brother Duffie Len Farris the same person that contributed memorials as Duffie and Kathy?

I received the email today that my suggested edit was declined because it's in the wrong data field. PFC is short for Private First Class, which is the prefix field under name via Suggest and Edit.
Im' not sure why it was declined, but I've resubmitted it. Feel free to reply directly if there's another reason you prefer not to accept.

Miss Joan, Mr Tipping married my aunt after her first husband passed away. I have been digging for some family information and have found parts of the puzzle on familysearch.com
I was wondering if you would consider transferring his memorial to me. Thank you.

We have walked the cemetery and searched through the records, and cannot find the grave. The obit in the SA Light says he should be here, but we cannot locate his final resting place. Any picture of the stone or additional information will be appreciated. firstname.lastname@example.org

|Susan ||RE: Nola Salter #46521278|
I understand how this is confusing. However, Nola's mother is Elizabeth Jane Camp. Elizabeth Jane Lauderdale (#19431527) was married to James Calvin Ferguson who is the brother to Nola's father Joseph Isom Ferguson.
The death certificates for Joseph and Elizabeth (Camp) sons Charles Monroe Ferguson (born before Nola in 1870) and Thomas Pinkney Ferguson (born after Nola in 1875) both show that Elizabeth Camp as their mother.
After Joseph Ferguson's death Elizabeth Camp married Joseph E Brown. She died in 1912.
Are you researching the Ferguson family?
Hope this answers your question, but if you have any more questions feel free to contact me.
Have a nice evening,
