Genealogy research should be shared. Anyone who wants my pictures or information is welcome to it. I am grateful to those who unselfishly post their findings and pictures and share with others. |
I also appreciate the team efforts of findagrave members-those who contribute pictures, obituaries, and family links. I don't mind death certificates on my postings. Not only is this site used to perpetuate the memory of loved ones, but it is also used to help others track their ancestors.
The new edit system is great, but members, please check the requests before you blindly hit Accept. I've caught many errors in these edit requests. Please don't hyphenate last names or ask me to do so. Consider how difficult it is to search for an ancestor with a hyphenated last name.
Feel free to browse my American Revolution and Civil War virtual cemeteries, and leave flowers for these soldiers, as well as the Purple Heart recipients.
And, do we really need copyrights on a headstone picture? How ridiculous! We need to leave our egos at the cemetery gates.

I'm curious about the picture on this memorial. On the back row far left is my Great Grandfather Isaac "Ike" Jones, John Blue's step-brother. I'm wondering if this is a picture of the brothers and if so, which are which, if known and if you know a timeframe of when the picture was taken.

|Barbara Arend||RE: Mary Gordon photo request|
You had a photo request for the following:
Requested by Kathy Jennings ...
Mar 06, 2017
Anshe Lubovitz Cemetery
Allegheny County, PA
6 miles away
On the URL I provided (http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/allegheny/tsphotos/anshelubovitz-shaler.htm), I only saw one Mary Gordon listed:
Gordon, Mary, died 28 Nov 1924, age 60 years, mother, (contributed by Rich Boyer)
Unfortunately, I can't attach the photo of the gravestone.
If this is the incorrect information, I do apologize. Hoped I could help.

Thank you so much for your continued efforts to link the Foster family together. I have sent another edit and hopefully it will be complete when accepted.
|Adair Norse||RE: Lovina Stone At Wood Creek Kinner Cemetery, Washinton County, New York|
Thank you Kathy! Perhaps the information came from the Cemetery Records of Town of Whitehall, Washington County, New York. Most recent Index is April 1998. Gravestones in Wood Creek Kinner Cemetery are mostly in very tough shape.
Thanks again for responding.

Thank you for linking William Foster #157358925 and his siblings to their parents.
If you haven't already, I would be pleased if you would go to my Bio and visit my parents' memorials by clicking on their links.
|Adair Norse||Lovina Stone At Wood Creek Kinner Cemetery, Washinton County, New York|
I'm curious about the entry for:
Death: Jul. 6, 1834
In May 2017 I visited Wood Creek Kinner Cemetery, Whitehall Township, Washington County, New York. I looked for the gravestone for Lovina Stone. I was not able to locate the stone. When you posted this did the information come off the actual gravestone for Lovina Stone? I am curious if the name could be Stowe rather than Stone. With the weathered and broken condition of so many of the gravestones after 180 years are missing or broken or very difficult to read.
I certainly appreciate all your hard work in researching and uploading so many grave records.
Thoughts are appreciated.
