I am married with four (4) grown children and four (4) grandchildren. I became interested in genealogy in 1979 when I began to fill in the large Family Bible that someone gave us as a wedding present. Most of the people that could have helped me were already dead, so grave markers & tombstones became another way for me to get information. I have been interested in our family tree since that time and have compiled and written two (2) books, The Stephenson Family: Past & Present and co-authored The Barnhill Family with Louise Gillespie Lynch. My books may be found in the Library of Congress and in various public and University Libraries across the USA.|

Susan – I am trying to clear up information for Robert Jackson b. 1820 (according to the headstone) and buried in Mount Hebron Cemetery. I’ve tried locating a phone number for the cemetery to no avail. I believe there was conflicting records showing that Robert was b. 1824…according to censuses and his marriage license he would have been born abt 1824. I am wondering if there was misinformation cited at the time the headstone was engraved.
Would you be able to provide me with a contact name / number so I may review what is written on his cemetery card, i.e., where he lived, wife, family, church he attended? If not, would you, at your convenience, be able to obtain a copy and/or confirm the information for me?
Your assistance is greatly appreciated. My number is 203-758-0886 / email: email@example.com
Thanks for your help.
This is Tommy Beard, I have found some paper work about the family history and I came across your membership on find a grave.com. This is a wonderful site where I have learned so much about my heritage. I just wanted to say hello and to say it has been a long time since we have seen each other. If you have any information that you can share with me about the family please do so and I will do the same. I hope you have had a wonderful life. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org

I went to Zachary Taylor National Cemetery to take photos for Find A Grave and her name is not inscribed on the stone of her husband, nor is she buried nearby. So I could not take a photo and I am curious as to if she is really buried here.

Find A Grave Memorial #49876551
Robert Edward Jackson's headstone is in Mount Hebron Cemetery in Grayson County, Kentucky and from the stone we learn that he was born 4 August 1890 and died 7 December 1945. His Kentucky death certificate informs us that he died in Kentucky Baptist Hospital, Louisville, Jefferson County. A contributing cause of his death was gun shoot wound to the spinal column. His wife is listed as Nannie Cannon Jackson and she was the informant on the death certificate. Yet where her name and information should be inscribed on the headstone there is a marker that informs us that John Wilbur Jackson donated $3,000 in bonds to the cemetery upkeep. Do you have any idea as to what is going on here? Any help is appreciated.

I am guessing you entered his from his obituary only. Family didn't put this in here because he is not buried in this cemetery. I am his wife's cousin and I am doing the family history. Brenda didn't know anything about this either.

I noticed that you requested to have several memorials transferred to you from Kimshockey (reb)46563854. I noticed that she is no longer an active member. I do not know if someone else had advised you, but because she is inactive any questions or transfer requests should be sent to email@example.com. The admins will take care of any of your transfers, links etc. Please make sure that you let them know when you requested the transfer(s) (if you have a copy of your email include it with your requests) and include their memorial number and also yours (Please note the number you have for Mr Farris is incorrect - it should be 11228221). It make take about 30 days for them to respond but be patient it will happen. Take care - Cindy

I have added a better headstone picture for Mrs. Geneva. The stone is not leaning!
