You are absolutely correct. Don't know what I was thinking. Have spent the last week camped at my 95 yr old mother's hospital bedside, so my brain is fried.
Found Joseph and Mary's grave sites. They are buried at the same cemetery as their daughter. Mary's second husband is buried there, too, and they all have the same design of grave marker.
Joseph Kamp appears to have two memorials. The original has the name spelled incorrectly (Kemp). #76963903 & #114876266. Mary appears to be buried under the name of her 2nd husband Charles Borries. #114627712 (Charles #114627701). They married 21 Oct 1873. Joseph died in 1872. Her maiden name appears to be Pundsack although the spelling variations are numerous. That spelling was from her immigration document. She was 14. From Prussia.
Have sent an email to Find A Grave to merge the 2 memorials for Joseph.

Sending your request to Helen.

I am so sorry! I think I got tangled up in my family tree. I'm trying to get cemetery plans together to visit as many family graves as I can since Perry County is a 5 hour drive away. I really appreciate you taking the time to explain.

|Beachcomber||Ohio County Cemetery Committee|
FYI, looks like the committee is dormant right now. Last posting at their blog site was 2014. I understand they organized to clean up overgrown cemeteries like Old Bethel was a few years ago.
Kudos to them.

Thanks for you reply and your work at the cemeteries preserving memorial information.
I'll contact Ohio County Cem. people. I read that the old white church that was right by Old Bethel Cemetery is gone. Too bad. Torn down, burned down?

|Beachcomber||I am trying to find who keeps the records for the Old Bethel Cem.|
I added Anna and Lena Vandiver wife and daughter of Pendleton Vandiver "Uncle Pen" subject of a bluegrass tune by Bill Monroe.
They are buried next to each other in unmarked graves. I am going to request a picture of the plots if I can find plot numbers. I see photo requested posted going back to 2010. Doesn't look like many volunteer photographers make it there. It is quite isolated I believe. Worth a try.
Thanks Doug in Tacoma

Anna Belle Vandiver 176 279 958 Bethel unmarked*
James Cecil Vandiver 144 971 618 Rosine marked

Regarding Find A Grave Memorial# 106599710
Would you share with me the information you have that supports her maiden name being "Morrison" and her spouse being "Archibald Alexander Pollock"? Your help will be much appreciated.

|Charlene ||My great-grandfather's grave stone|
My great-grandfather's name is Robert K. (Bob) Mathis. He was born in 1879. My great-grandmother's (Laura Elizabeth Thompson Mathis) grave stone is in Southard Cemetery in Ohio County, Ky. Could you see if there is also a grave stone for my great-grandfather as well? Thank You!
