Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm a Historian specializing in the Lower St. Croix River Valley that creates the border between Minnesota and Wisconsin. I enjoy road trips through the Dakota's to Montana and the Little Bighorn Battlefield. I was born In S. Carolina and have roots in north Georgia. I also have southern heritage in the Ozarks of NW Arkansas and Oklahoma. I am 3/4's German with the other 1/4 mixed with Confederate and Cherokee blood. My interest and research is in pioneering the frontier and the Civil War that disrupted their lives. I photograph the oldest gravestones that I can find and military markers too.

Paul Carli
Thank you so much for creating a memorial for Paul Carli. I am a descendant of Dr. Christopher Carli and Lydia Carli, I really appreciate the Carli family being remembered. I was wondering where Paul was buried, thanks for posting that information. Do you know if he has a headstone?

Georgia Corthell
Thank you for the information. The changes have been made. Would you know where her mother, Margaret E. Corthell, is buried?

Thank you for taking the time to contact me.

Lindsey E Teal at Fayetteville
Thank you Ken for posting this. I wonder if you or other members have any more information on Sgt Lindsey E Teal.
He was my great-grandfather and this year is the 150th anniversary of his death.

RE: Photo of D.W. Armstrong headstone
I have been trying to find out where Edward Armstrong was buried, so I was happy to find the link to your memorial at the Willow River Cemetery. I have subsequently added some Armstrong family links and will continue to add more.
Thank you,
Carol A.
